Happiness. Then I ordered this
I discovered two days ago that my window covered door that allows way too much light in during the summer is actually steel.I squeaked. Happiness. Then I ordered this. Then I got it in the mail or whatever.I opened it, found the instructions, laughed because they were a little unnecessary - I couldn't actually follow them, and then I installed this on my door in under 2 minutes. They don't block light. They just really heavily shade it out. These blinds are almost perfect. They also move without anyone touching them. I think it's because they are on a door that gets used a lot.

This product was the perfect fix!
Our steel door faces west and the end-of-day heat from the sun was unbearable. This product was the perfect fix!! Easy to install, the magnets are firm enough to hold the blinds to the door, even when the door is firmly shut. I particularly like the magnets at the bottom of the blinds so the blinds don't swing when you open or shut the door! We had a "blinds" designer come to our house early on, and her solution of drilling holes, etc. was going to be invasive and incredibly costly. These blinds are reasonably priced and work as described (and they look good too). I would recommend this product!I was looking for some blinds for my new steel door and came across these. I ordered these online for store pick-up. It took about one minute to take them out the box and install! The quality is also excellent. I've already recommended these to a couple family members. These blinds are easy to put up and stay up through multiple in/out sessions with the doors. If I had to find fault with them, the aesthetics of the headrail are pretty much utilitarian. If you want "pretty" you'll need a magnetic curtain rod and a ruffly valance. But the blinds are a fabulous idea for those metal doors!

Over all I like it. I have a metal door so ut a bit troublesome to try and drill holes and is rather not. I found these on line and at walmart but walmart wasn't offering free shipping. They came in right away. Assembly was none existent. it was probably the easiest thing I've ever had to put up. There was instructions but you won't need them because it's pretty straightforward as to what to do if you ever put up blinds. The only thing I would caution is that they are not as sturdy as regular blind as for as tugging. I doubt they could do a cordless like my other blinds. I put the strings on top to be out of the way. One reason they do not seem so sturdy and fall if tugged too hard is because my window measures 24 inches and the blinds measures 25. That just leaves a half inch each side where there is more room in the brackets to fit the blinds. If your window is smaller you will have a more sturdy blind than mine. For my purposes it is fine. It's a side door and no one will really mess with it. It comes with magnets on the bottom too as to not flap around and stays in place when the door is open and closed repeatedly or quickly. The only time it's fallen was when I tugged it to adjust the length, and as I said before I simply hid the strings because mine is a close fit. I hope that helped you in your decision about this product.

Great product
I was debating about juat getting normal blinds from the local hardware store and drilling into the steel door. This cost the same price as doing that so I thought I'd give it a try. I'm really glad I did. I feel as though the quality of the blinds is the same as the ones I would have purchased except it came with the added bonus of the magnetic connections. The magnetics are very strong and have no issue holding the blinds up even when the cord is pulled to raise the blinds. It also comes with lower magnets to secure the lower edge of the blinds. Installation took as long as placing 4 magnets on a refrigerator would have taken.

Great product!!!
I love this product! It's exactly what the description said. My only complaint is jay you have to be careful adjusting it up and down. But I really love the magnetic bottom so it's not flapping around when you open the door. And the price can't be beat!

I love them, can't believe I didn't buy sooner.
Well worth the price paid. Very easy to assemble. The magnets are plenty strong enough to hold the blind in place under normal in/out door traffic. There are reviews with lowered ratings because the magnets "aren't strong enough." They aren't strong enough to hold the blind in place if one tries to raise the blind. You can open or close the angle of the blind, but I don't think they are designed for the magnet to hold it in place while you raise/lower the blind. You could put a screw in place if you need to raise or lower. I would buy again.

Almost a Winner
Bought two of these for the double doors on my home office which is located in a separate building behind my house. Very easy to install but there are two reasons for removing the two stars. One reason is that although I purchased a quantity of two, the lengths are not the same. The other reason is that the magnets that install on the bottom of the blinds are very weak, I guess for twenty bucks apiece I can't expect perfection but it would have taken very little to provide stronger magnets and to make them of equal length which would make them look better.

Best Budget Blinds
These vinyl blinds are great. We needed blinds for our kitchen/front door. We went onto Amazon and found these. The installation was easy. It is magnetic, and it had no trouble at all holding the blinds up. The blinds stay in place and stay level even though we open and close the door frequently. The blinds itself are a little on the flimsy side, but not enough to really effect the look or function of these blinds. For the price, especially comparatively speaking, they are exceptional. They serve their purpose, look great, and give us privacy- which is priceless. Highly recommend for blinds on a budget.

They are OK
These are Ok and do what I need them for. They are on my basement door windows which don't get a lot of use. The only things is when my daughter used the pull string to raise them, the magnets didn't hold. I try not to pull them up and just flip them open when needed. I don't think in a high use area they would hold up. One strip of the blinds cracked very easy too.
