It works well and seems secure

This for my laptop for work. It work out well since lock covers the hole to prevent anyone from moving it.

Easy to remove with a small screwdriver so only deters casual theft

On the whole this works well. It locks in tight and when a cable lock is attached, the screw is not accessible. Once locked into the headphone jack, it does not come out simply by pulling or twisting it. To achieve that hold, you do need to make sure the screw is fully tightened - otherwise, it can be pulled out. Also, to me this is a deterrent versus absolute security, which does not exist. If someone is looking to steal laptops, they will target ones that are easy. This, along with a cable lock, makes it difficult. So why 4 vs. 5 stars? It does not work with all cable locks. So make sure you get one that is compatible.

Works and fits perfectly. Bought for Dell Laptop

Don't buy this. I turned the screw to open it and it doesn't close anymore. I am glad that I tried it first before I stick it to my laptop. Otherwise I don't know how I'd have pull it out.

Does all it promises: it fits the audio connector on my new Dell XPS 16 laptop, and fits my old laptop lock.
