Functions Perfectly
This is a great product. Not sure about the poor reviews, it doesn’t get much easier than attaching it to the spigot and turning the water on.. I run it in between 2 hoses, the 1st hose is 50ft, the 2nd is also 50ft. Makes small dose fertilizing a breeze. 7/28 Update. Have had the product for less than 2 months , unfortunately something internally has malfunctioned and the back flow is now filling my concentrate bucket. The product worked great up to this point. I’m going to reach out to the seller for a replacement. 7/28 Update- outstanding customer service , which is why I will continue to buy Dramm products. 1st issue I have had and they are great

Updated Review: Do not shut off, must flow freely or BOOM.
6/18/2025 TL;DR update - I have used this item exactly twice over the course of two days. The first time went fantastically! That's what my original review was based on. Now it's been a few days and I needed to refertilize my garden as before, and just like everybody else it has broken and is spraying everywhere like a fountain against my foundation of my home. I CANNOT recommend this anymore. Zero restriction on the end, even when utilizing the provided nozzle it still will no longer siphon. I suppose it makes for a great water feature if you're looking for a fountain next to your home. ========== 6/16/2025 Original Review: For the uninitiated, do not install a shut off switch AFTER this Venturi. Basically if you have one of those "squeeze-to-spray" classic garden hose sprayers you WILL break this as soon as you stop the flow of water. The way that I hooked it up was to get those inline quick adapters. I made sure they were the kind that didn't automatically shut off when they come on clicked. Then I can just click it in-line at the hose bib and have it run fertilizer through my garden hose out to my oscillating fan sprinkler in my garden or to a sprinkler by my fruit trees. Works perfectly! Just toss the weighted metal end into a bucket and easy peasy away it goes with no leaks or explosions. The reason it comes with a non-stopping flow nozzle is to prevent you from stopping the flow. If you stop the flow after this nozzle you are basically making a plastic pipe bomb in the middle of your garden hose and it's completely your fault for breaking the check valve, or the fitting itself. Couldn't have been a better purchase and saved a bunch of money by not going with the brass version that was twice the price.

Worth the money
Works great and heck of a deal.

the reviews are correct
I guess I should listen to other customers. This works great when there is no resistance on the end of your hose but when you put something on the end, it stops working.

Good Tool
Truly makes fertilizing easy. Better control at the spray head since you do not have the awkward jar of a hose end sprayer. Just follow the instructions and it works great. Works as well as the metal ones. I just wish that the anti siphon feature was not there since this seems to be the eventual downfall of these siphon tools. My old one worked for many years... all the new ones eventually fail. Buy two and have a backup... they are affordable.

Working great!
I have purchased the brass version of this item in the past. They have always stopped siphoning within the year. So, I decided to try the cheaper plastic versiion. So far, so good. Works perfectly. I use one of those big plastic jugs that you get pretzels in at Sams or Costco. I drilled a hole in the lid for the siphone tube. I put 1/2 a big bag of Miracle grow in it and then everything gets fertized while I water. I noticed in the nurseries that continually fertilize with a low mixture and that is why their plants are humungous. This system works that way for me. Much easier than filling 2 gallon buckets with fertilizer and carrying all around the house. If you have many plants or a veggie garden, both in the ground or in pots, this is a great way to deliver the fertilizer.

Works very well if you use it right
My tap water is consistently pH 7, but I need it to be between pH 6.0 and 6.5 for my tomatoes. I used a siphon with a 5-gallon bucket and 5 mL of pH Down, and the hose output pH is perfect. I've now expanded this setup to my 4-zone digital water timer, placing the siphon between the timer and irrigation hose to treat the water for my entire garden, improving nutrient uptake. Note that the siphon can't handle constant water pressure before the timer.

Poor quality adhesive used on check valve
The first time it was used, the one way check valve split in half. I bought a quality check valve at the hardware store and it works.

Tried it out once. Used it to fertigate Biofish (liquid organic) through drip lines. It seemed to work fine. I strained it first so it wouldn't clog the drip tape. Just like the product info says, there is a minimum flow rate necessary (about 5 gpm) for siphon to occur. It didn't work at first because I didn't have enough drip tape running. I had the equivalent of nearly 500' of drip tape with emitters spaced 4" apart to get it to operate successfully. I think this will be very convenient for feeding plants in the future.

Very happy with my new Dramm syphonjet, much easier to water in liquid supplements with a hose instead of the watering can backwards and forwards.

Really works well! Once you use a siphon mixer like this you will not want to go back to a mixer that is on the end of the hose.... I have a large yard, and I connect this between a 100 ft hose and the 50 ft hose I water with.... Put 20 scoops of miracle grow in a bucket with 6 litres of water, and have enough solution to water and fertilize my large garden (10x30) and several planters. I used to have a brass one, but brass oxidizes... I don't think I will have any problems with this plastic one for years!
