This 2-inch thick foldable gymnastics mat is exactly what I needed! It offers excellent support and cushioning for stretching and my core workouts. My search for the perfect home exercise mat was a bit of a journey. My wife has the black version of this BalanceFrom mat, and while I was impressed with its quality, I was determined to find something a bit bigger. I ended up trying a few other brands, and to put it bluntly, they were trash. They were so thin that it felt like I was just laying on the hard floor, making them useless for any real exercise.Needless to say, I learned my lesson. I came right back and ordered this blue BalanceFrom mat, and I'm so glad I did. This is top-quality!What Makes It Great (The Pros):* Legitimate Thickness & Comfort: The 2-inch high-density foam is the real deal. Unlike the flimsy competitors, this mat provides genuine cushioning and support. I use it for all kinds of stretches and floor exercises, and it’s consistently comfortable.* Superb Portability & Storage: The tri-fold design is brilliant. It folds up in seconds, and the carrying handles make it incredibly easy to move around or slide into a closet for storage. It’s perfect for keeping our living space uncluttered.* Easy to Clean: The moisture-resistant vinyl surface is a huge plus. A quick wipe-down after a workout is all it takes to clean, which is awesome for hygiene and maintenance.One Minor Consideration:The only exercise I find a bit difficult on this mat is push-ups. Because the foam is so thick and comfortable, my hands tend to sink into it, which feels a bit unstable. This is not a deal-breaker for me at all; I simply do my push-ups on the floor right next to it. For every other exercise, the cushioning is a welcomed feature.Final Verdict:While I initially set out to find a larger mat, the superior quality, comfort, and convenience of the BalanceFrom mat easily won me over. Great mat for the money... sturdy foam, tough exterior covers. Nothing not to like.I bought it after a recent surgery to help with the PT (I got some rods/screws in my low back, so lying on the floor to stretch my hamstrings was killing me - the hardware was pressing against my skin from the inside - we have hardwood floors). So, I bought this mat to lay on while doing my stretches... no more pain! And for the price, it is amazingly good quality, very sturdy build. It's not beautiful... just solid black, very useful and well made. As a man who enjoys sturdy, well made, no frills things... I think it's excellent.

Good quality; easy to fold up for storage, transport, and unfold for use; makes my physical therapy exercises appealing, do-able, and effective. It provides firm support and provides good value. Great product!

Plenty of cushioning, easy to open and fold. The corners will quickly get dinged and start to tear if you are not very gentle with the mat. Don't just shove it into a corner or on a shelf. A good buy.

We just received these in pink and blue and gave them a test run! Thrilled! I am have severe advanced rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia and multiple other autoimmune diseases and syndromes that have caused considerable permanent damage to my joints and body (13 years now...I got it an extremely severe case early in adulthood very suddenly.) I have always been athletic and am still very strong, but have been unable to excercise due to the pandemic. It's made my RA & other issues much worse, I don't sleep well because of it and it's caused weight gain and loss of energy. I normally swim year round and lift weights, but I am in 3+ high risk categories. I haven't been able to exercise like normal in almost a year and neither has my family (except for a 3 or 4 week period where we could swim in the ocean late August into September. Boy was that HEAVEN!)Our gym pool is not fully open & when it is it's such a short time period that you have to make a reservation for that it doesn't work for us (plus you aren't allowed to change there and they aren't really accomodating for the disabled. ) I have asthma so I can't breathe properly in a mask for weight lifting so that's not safe.We have an area in our living room that has just enough space for so we dug out our box of pilates dvd's, balance ball and checked out what Amazon had to stream from Amazon video because we were going nuts being sedentary and it was making my RA considerably worse as well as a back injury.We had a great time doing yoga and two pilates workouts the first day, but I discovered that my trusty yoga mat I've had forever (still like new) was no longer enough cushion for me. I ended up with bruises on my lower back and tailbone as we have wood floors and a new area rug (lovely, but different from our old one.) I also needed to get a proper yoga mat for a family member. I typed in "thick yoga mat" and these mats popped up! I had severe pain with certain exercises on Day 1 in my knees and hips and suddenly I realized that I usually did my floor exercise on mats like this at the gym! (I used to do them at home too, but that was 5 years ago and my RA has advanced as I am medication resistant unfortunately....not about to let it stop me though :))I looked at other mats like these and they're considerably more expensive! I checked out getting a 4×8 or a 4×10 to pop down for our daily excercise sessions, but they were much more expensive than just getting two of these to try under our individual yoga mats. It's snowing and raining out now and that's when my RA is worse. We just got these off the porch and opened them up and gave them a test run immediately! The colors are cheerful! They fold down and fold up SUPER easily and feel stable and firm, but give a solid amount of cushion! (Full 2") We're SO EXCITED!!! We're excited to get one more for another family member too. Our yoga mats pop down on top perfectly! Even with my bad bruising from the other day I could still roll around! I could even to poses putting pressure on my wrists and knees which are normally not possible due to joint damage.I REALLY hope they last and are super durable in the lon run! We hope they keep the lower price on the pink and blue sowe can buy more! We really are excited and LOVE them so far! It's funny, but these mats (if they stay sturdy and hold up) are going to be making a HUUUUGE difference in our lives! Being able to excercise comfortably for as long as we want daily again is important for everyone, but with my disabilities it's the ONLY thing that helps control my painful autoimmune diseases as none of the available meds work as I have tried them ALL(diet & excercise in conjunction.) They will also make a GIANT difference for my family since we have to stay home due to the pandemic and this excercise outlet is SO IMPORTANT! Members of my family were doing so much better EMOTIONALLY as well as physically with our new daily excercise options even after just ONE day!!!OK! I will give a SHORT UPDATE after a month or two! Fingers crossed that they are as wonderful & durable for years to come as they were today! It really was like a second Christmas for us! :)
