These are really sturdy to carry in your pocket or purse. The only thing I can complain about is the fact that the diamond coating is irregular and uneven in several places, but this I have found to be very typical with the nail files that are coated with tiny supposed to be diamonds but I really don’t know if that’s what they are or not I’m taking their word for it. Once I have taken a metal file and knocked the several extra pieces off the surface it is a great file. One side is course and the other is finer. This carry’s very well in the pocket and doesn’t break. What I like about this model of pocket nail file is that when I open it the file locks into place and when I fold it back it locks into place. Very very nice. Also it doesn’t catch on the inside of my pocket like some others do. Also when I teach for it I can find it without emptying my whole pocket.

I like the fact that these files are folding, making them portable. The plastic cases seem to be okay--- a bit cheap-looking, but that's because they're plastic. The files themselves are fine, though smaller than what I'm used to (they're the size described, I just realize now that I have them that they're a bit too dainty for my big mitts). The main fault I have to find is that the way the files are attached seems flimsy, as if the file will break off the handle if I look at it cross-eyed. I'll keep them, and carry one in my purse and one in my travel toiletries bag, with the third in reserve as a spare, but I'm back to searching for a metal file that I can use all the time. I'm mildly disappointed, especially as this set seems expensive for what you get.

i choose RED and BLUE so i can find it in my purse.It’s perfect. i find the 2-sided file options fine. i mainly use the fine side of the mail file.if you fold it up, it’s perfectly sturdy.

Very lightweight. Easy to carry around in your trousers or jeans pocket. Not as sturdy as some I bought of a different brand several years ago (and lost), but they fit the bill. Do not expect them to serve as a secondary tool (if you are like me) for prying or screw driving as they are just not sturdy enough. Hey...hardly noticeable in your pocket, and handy when you need it.

Good thing they sell these in sets of 3. I have already had 2 seized during unexpected purse inspections! Despite my pleading that it is just a nail file, I guess it looks too much like a pocket knife with the fold out design that otherwise keeps it from damaging your purse, and the pointed tip that is great for cleaning under the nails or tightening a screw in a pinch.

So many times you purchase an item that turns out useless. This item has renewed my faith. it does exactly what it says it will do. The size is fabulous, actual nail file is perfect, and the way it collapses into the case makes this a totally safe nail file to put inside my purse. No danger of accidentally stabbing myself. Love it!!

This is a good file for your purse but also TSA for airport. It folds right up. Love it.

Bought these for myself. Loved them so much I gave one too a grandson who is a nurse and to a granddaughter. I plan of getting some for all grandchildren. Will go in the pockets and not poke holes or jab you. Loved the 2 different roughnesses to select from
