FISCH Forstner Drill Bit SP Wave Cutter Shank Diameter 10 mm / Drill Bit Diameter 32 mm With centre point, serrated pheripheral cutting edge, 2 cutting edges and offset cylindrical shaft. With surfaces, for drilling tear-free, dimensionally stable blind holes, for edge drilling as well as for oblique holes in softwood and hardwoods. Furthermore, in melamine-coated panels and plywood. The wave-shaped all-round cutting edge prevents the blades from annealing. Easy and low-power cutting, thanks to optimal cutting geometries. For particularly beautiful woodwork (fine wood working). Drill diameter: 32 mm. Total length: 90. Shaft length: 30 mm. Material: SP Shaft diameter: 10 mm. Groove length: 60. Brand: Fisch Attachment: cylindrical shaft. Review: Spot on!! - Clean, precise holes every time. These are in my opinion, the best Forster bits out there. I use on a daily basis and have used many brands but nothing comes anywhere close to Fisch! Forster bits have a tendency to get hot which in turn dulls the cutting edges. These with their wavy edge stay cool even on a continuous cut. Yes they are pricey but worth it but you can also buy separates so can add to your collection as and when you need. I love them and won’t use any other bit in the future. Review: Brilliant - Absolutely the best cutters I have used. I expect them to still be sharp for a long, long time.

Very high quality forstner bits
These are expensive, but you get what you pay for. They cut cleanly and easily leaving no tear-out (use a sacrificial backing). I've used them on mahogany, oak, walnut and maple and am very pleased with the results. I don't have them long enough to make any comments as to how well they will keep their edge with prolonged use.

Really excellent
i did quite a bit of reasearch to come upon this bit. So glad I did worth every hard earned pound of the price. Crisp clean cut. Some of the reviews here refer to a set. So they have been placed by mistake.

Brilliant
Cuts really fast and clean, the speed increase over my old forstner bit is incredible and it hardly got hot so should stay sharp a lot longer

Only 5 bits in box (not as picture suggests)
The image is a bit misleading. There are only 5 bits in the box. Please make sure you read the description properly. On initial inspection the quality of the bits seems good, but as they are a gift I don’t know how well they do their job.

I wondered if the Fisch Forstner Bits are sufficiently better to justify the far higher price, but was not going to test this by buying a full set for USD 700 or so. So I bought just the 16mm bit as a test, and I had a job that needed 16mm. The key difference is that Fisch forges the head, making the steel far stronger, allowing the channels for wood shaving to escape to be larger. This does in fact work, and quite well. The transaction was smooth, the item was well packed, and arrivied via Deutsche Post within the promised time.

You will not find better Forstner bits. Like a hot knife through butter.
