Quiet and Impressive Results.
Birthday present for a grand daughter that is impressed by rocks. Quiet and really smooths small stones. This will only work with stones 1.5” and smaller.

Broke after 2 Days.
I am on Day 2 of Phase 1 and my rock tumbler broke. Of course it is 12 days after my return window has closed. I am sad to say I had hope that this would work and now I'm too sad to even look at my favorite rocks that I had placed inside because I'm sure they're ruined. My broke: It is making a loud sound like it's not functioning any longer.

Tentatively it seems good quality, will update with prolonged use
I’ve only started it on step 1. It is very easy to put together. Instructions are clear. I added a few extra rocks to the pack that is sent. I checked it a few minutes after starting and noted some chipping off the more delicate pieces. I purchased extra grit separately and added some ceramic medium to hopefully cushion it a bit more. I do wish the set came with more than one round of grit, not sending the ceramic medium with such small and delicate pieces seems like a bit of an oversight. This did come with some replacement belts. I’d compare the noise level is about as loud as a kitchen aid mixer on a medium setting if left on the counter in my kitchen. I placed a few folded up newspapers under it and it significantly reduced the noise level. I may put it in the basement or garage depending on how noisy it is at night but during the day it isn’t an issue. Will update the further we explore this project as it takes time to tumble rocks.

Works great!
Still too noisy to keep in the house but out in the garage it's no problem. I've done 3 sessions of polishing glass and it's easy to use and works great.

It's so quiet and gets the job done
The cover to reduce the sound is awesome. With it off it's just awful but the cover really knocks the sound down to being not very noticeable in a house with various goings on. If you're starting out, you'll want to get some ceramic tumbling media and some 12000 grit polish if you want to get rocks polished and shiny.

it worked until it broke
I don’t know how they measure the comparative noise of one rock Tumblr to the other, but this one is still loud. It does have a rubber lined Tumblr and comes with a no shield so I imagine it’s quieter than the others but it’s still loud. Also, it broke after five days. The first stage of rocks is supposed to tumble for six and it lasted five days. It sounds like it might be the belt because the motor is still running, but I am returning it and we will see how long the next one lasts. As for how well it tumble the rock before it broke it did pretty well. Here’s a picture of before and after
