As a former chef i can tell you these are great knives for the price. I would use these at work.

The knife set is gorgeous but comes with flaws.The small knife came with rust pits but that was easily taken off with a bit barkeeper’s friend and 5min of rubbing.The big knife have a few cracks along the long-side of the handle. The handle is not perfectly sealed to the tang. There are lots of scuffs on the Damascus like machining marks.The edge is sharp but after going through it with my 8000grit suehiro, it’s shiny AND extremely sharp to where it’ll cut my hair as I lower a strand of my hair down from it. That’s proof that the company actually hardened the cutting layer correctly.Do I recommend these knives? Maybe. Can you see yourself using a kitchen knife with a hole cut into the heel? It actually digs into my index finger when using my finger with the heel. I prefer a flat heel with no cutouts. The pair knife is a bit on the longer side but that’s a personal preference.If you can overlook these things, the knives are perfect. If not, look elsewhere.

I’m apparently getting to the age when receiving these have been the highlight of my Christmas!! Their first test was to cut through day-old French bread. Wow, cut it like it was nothing! These knives are amazing.

Knife arrived in beautiful box (great for a gift). Upon taking the knife out I immediately recognized the handle and knife being one solid unit; no rivets. The knife is perfectly balanced and fits easy in your hand not too heavy, not too light – which allows for precise cuts with minimal effort. The blade itself is razor-sharp and effortlessly glides through everything from delicate herbs to tough cuts of meat. What truly sets this knife apart is how versatile it is. The overall design is sleek and professional and has ornate design on the side of the blade. I’m thoroughly impressed, and it’s made my cooking experience more efficient and enjoyable. Highly recommend!

Nada fuera de lo normal

When I first took the knife out of the box I thought " wow.....what a nice quality heavy knife". I first used it to cut up an onion I was amazed at how well the knife just glided through. You'd have to use one to fully understand. Better than any knife I've ever used. Upon close inspection you can see that it is made by hand and is very well made. We love this knife so much that we bought the other knife set sold on Amazon. We will give most of our older knives to Good Will.

I am very happy with this knife. It has a good balance, size, shape.-One caveat though, the flares out at the bottom of the knife, so be careful and contientious of that in advance to stop yourself from accidently cutting yourself. I personally got a pretty good cut on my non cutting arm by just gently poking my other hand nearby because the knives I'm used to don't protrude like that.
