Can i replace the backup camera that is in 2012 dodge ram 1500 with this one and still see the image on the built in screen?

Is there a version that has a plate that is vertically adjustable?

I don't think so but what you could do is to install it at the bottom side of the license plate if you don't what it at the top. It also comes with a smaller support base to allow you to install it anywhere else on the back of your car.

Trigger wire - use for power instead?

The trigger wire receives 12volt from the reverse light circuit, it automatically turns the screen on. That being said you could use any 12v circuit, but as long as it has power ... the reverse screen will always be on. So you could put any 12v power on a switch to the trigger if you want.

Is the cable long enough for suv install? Tahoe

It was long enough for my GM full-size crew cab pickup, and those are usually similar in length. If it's too short, 75ohm video cable extensions with RCA jacks are readily available.
