This Alpicool NL 15 car refrigerator is solid built that looks sleek and can be used in a vehicle or at home/office. It comes with two set of power cables. One for connection with a main socket at home while the other for connection with a vehicle cigarette lighter plug. This 15L refrigerator can be used as a fridge or freezer depending on the temperature your settings. This portable refrigerator has a decent volume of 15 litres which is enough for medium family carrying food and drinks in a day trip or picnic. It has a rapid cooling function MAX for fast cooling and an energy efficient ECO mode for maintaining a fixed temperature (i.e 4°C). We tend to use it mainly as a fridge for keeping food fresh (~4°C) but it can be set to -20°C if you want to use it as a freezer. This refrigerator is classed an energy efficiency grade C. In real test, it consume approximately 30 W for ECO mode and ~40W for Max mode. I personally would like to bring the refrigerator to 0°C at home prior to connecting it to my car battery, so that it will run ECO mode in my car and fraw less power from its battery. I don't want to risk running the car battery dead although it features three levels of battery protection. I am also interested in investing in a solar panel to power this refrigerator, so that I would never worry about how much it will impact on my car battery.The fridge is easy to operate. It has a touchscreen to show the internal temperature in realtime. Its touch buttons allow me to set the desired temperature, choose between the ECO or Max mode, and choose to display the temperature in °C or °F. When its compressor works, the refrigerator makes low levels of noise. It doesn't bother me at all since the noise is forgivable in the usual vehicle noise background. For safety and best practices, I always fix the refrigerator on my car seat.This fridge will make our travelling in summer more convenient and enjoyable, knowing fresh food and cold drinks within reach.

I didn't quite know what to expect performance wise from this portable Fridge Freezer but boy was i pleasantly surprised as it performed exactly as described and with the advantage of being able to use in your car or campervan but you can use it in the home too,The Fridge/Freezer is very well built and solid and there are buttons on one end which controls the desired temperature to either keep items cool or freeze food items and can be adjusted to -20 which is more than ample for freezing and there is a great LED readout to let you know which temperature has been selected and during operation the unit is very quiet indeed you hardly know it's in operation and you get a decent 15L capacity which is more than ample if you take it on trips out in the car etc during the warmer months to keep food and drinks nice and cool and doesn't take up much room at all as the unit is really compact in design and from a well known maker called Alpicool which gets a good reputation from users from this maker and 5 stars al the way,Brilliant little Fridge/Freezer and at a great price too highly recommended.

This car refrigerator/freezer arrived in a very strong cardboard box, well protected by moulded polystyrene.We used to have a small car fridge that we used for a long trip across Europe. it was noisy and not that good at keeping things cool.The Alpicool refrigerator on the other hand is fairly quiet with no more than 45db which is equivalent to a whisper or humming in the background.This is definitely a huge improvement. Not only does it refrigerate, cooling down from 25°C to 0°C in just 15 minutes but it is also a freezer, able to go down to -20°C within an hour which is impressive.It has far more capacity too, able to keep enough food fresh and drinks cool which is vital when on a long trip, camping or out for a picnic. It is fairly heavy and will be more so when fully laden but it has moulded cut outs of the side for carrying. However, this sort of accessory normally stays in the boot or campsite.These are also useful when defrosting the home freezer for those few frozen foods that would otherwise deteriorate quickly if left out too long.The Alpicool comes with two adapters, 100-240V AC and 12/24V DC, which enables plugging in at home (in the wall socket) or in the car (in the cigarette lighter). There is also an in built battery protection, featuring 3 levels of protection to ensure nothing goes wrong.Priced at £124.99 after applying a £45 off voucher, at the time of writing this review, it a fairly high price but a quality product that you can rely on.

🔹INTRO & DESCRIPTION🔹The Alpicool NL15 comes well packaged and protected in a strong box with polystyrene to keep it from moving in transit. It is 15 litres, meaning it can hold up to 20 cans of Coke, 18 bottles of water, or more importantly 7 bottles of wine !! It has handles on either side and a latch on the lid. It also has slots to enable you to tie it down to prevent movement when on the go. It comes with AC adapter and 12V/24V DC power cord.The fridge weighs just 8.3 kgs.🔹OPINION🔹&🔹CONCLUSION🔹The fridge does have a modern rugged appearance with a textured surface. It can be used in either ECO mode or MAX mode. The ECO mode runs at 45W and the MAX mode at 60W.It is very quiet in operation and has an excellent touch screen which is simple to operate.With it being November in the UK, the need for an outdoor/car refrigerator is somewhat diminished at this time of year. However, it will really come into its own during the hotter months. It would be ideal for anyone with a campervan, but we have a static caravan which is some distance away, so it will be ideal for keeping our food cool and fresh on the journey there. It will also be perfect for picnics and day trips whilst we are up there.
