COBI Historical Collection M18 Hellcat Tank

Just assembled the green box version and gazing upon its magnificence. Great TD and a great set. A couple of thoughts:Studs Not Showing RULES. The guys at Cobi are geniuses. The new colors and new pieces always make me smile.I think Cobi is improving their plastics and molding or at least their molds. Maybe I'm wrong, but older Cobi sets didn't seem to fit as "tight" and the plastic seemed less finely machined, i.e. small traces of flash, small irregularities, etc. This kit's blocks were most like that other company's that I won't mention. They snap together and feel most like their most popular counterpart. Cobi is a lot closer than "80% good-enough".I redid the mount for the 50-cal. Mixed in a few competitor parts in black or dark grey. But I've got a minifig 50-cal, ladies and gentlemen.While I prefer the other Cobi track system on the larger AFVs, this kit's implementation of the smaller, lighter, seemingly less sturdy track is still very satisfying. I'm pleasantly surprised by this because I honestly wasn't looking forward to this aspect of the build. But it's well done.The scale is little off. This is a tiny Hellcat TD, not a Tiger or Pershing or JS-2. The turret seems a little far back on the hull. But those are minor quibbles that don't spoil my enthusiasm.The one thing I still don't like about Cobi kits: the minifigs are trash. I just can't bring myself to actually like them. But their accessories are phenomenal. I slept with my new baz-44 under my pillow last night, and I can't really complain. And it hasn't stopped me obviously, since this is my 5th Cobi kit.

Looked all over for this tank! It was a fun build.

Some proportions are not as accurate.

Tank was great until time to assemble the "tracks". Good luck snapping hundreds of flimsy plastic pieces together, and there weren't enough of them to build TWO sets of tracks........only enough to build 1 track. And, we can't even get the 1 track to stay on without falling apart.

Wer einmal Cobi gebaut hat weiß, da gibt es überhaupt nichts zu meckern.

Mon petit fils est passionné par les tanks et très content de cette marque. Ces briques peuvent à mon avis rivaliser avec les incontournables "légos", très bonne finition, et les plans de construction sont bien explicites, facilitant l'autonomie des enfants.

Ayant déjà des avions de la marque cobi, je suis assez satisfait... le seul point faible de ce char sont les chenilles que si votre enfant essaye de jouer avec elle se détache, du coup j'ai enlevé les chenilles et mon enfant de 6 ans le fait rouler sans et il s'amuse aussi bien.S'il doit être en exposition pour les collectionneurs, belle reproduction et pas d'autocollants, les briques sont déjà sérigraphié
