This is a pretty good chair: it is comfortable, well-made and folds up into a compact space.The only downside is that the small levers underneath the armrests that are meant to lock the chair into its current position aren't completely effective. They stiffen the movement of the chair quite a bit; but they don't lock it solid.That's why I've only given it four stars - it would have been five otherwise.I contacted Lafuma, the manufacturers and asked them about this but they didn't reply, which suggests poor customer service on their part.I also contacted the seller who offered to provide a refund - but, as it's otherwise pretty good, I decided to keep it, so it obviously isn't a great problem.Overall, it would probably be hard to find a better chair.

Arrived next day! Only unpacked today as weather in Scotland has returned to autumnal! Took a little fiddling to get it open but, tried it out in my lounge and let out a verbal ooooooh as I reclined... smoothly and with ease, sublime! Not very lightweight and as for sturdiness, feels very much so but, time will tell as I actually get to use it properly. Ordered the XL, right move for my large bod, only disappointed that a storage bag is not available for the XL to protect my considered investment. Come on sun, give us a treat!

These Lafuma chairs are exactly what I expected, smart and comfortable. A range of positions available to suit your mood/activity. The zero gravity position is extremely comfortable and sleep inducing! Buy the cup holders to attach to the chair and with a drink to hand what more could you want on a sunny day?

This is a really comfortable chair. The balance is perfect. I bought it one year ago and it is stored indoors. Two problems. First fairly minor but the toggle things, that are supposed to lock it at a fixed recline angle, don't do a good job. As other reviewers have said, they slow it down but don't lock it. Biggest issue is the rust on the bars that sit on the ground. There are two small plastic buffers to protect the bars but they are totally inadequate. I wrote to the supplier about a better protection for the metal bars to keep them off the ground but they displayed no understanding and offered to sell me unrelated spare parts. So, given the price I paid, It's worth about three stars.
