Bought an old house one of the keep original look these were almost direct replacement totally worth the money

I purchased a farm house build in 1906 and it had several inside doors missing latch hardware. These fit the mortise and can be made functional with little effort. The striker is a little different but with a little wood work it fits. As shipped, theses are left hand door latch. Mine are right hand so I had to take the assembly apart and reverse the plunger. Only requires removal of one screw in the center of the side plate and the parts are simple. The cover plates do not match mine but they look ok and work.

And then you'll learn that the issue is not the doors in your house, but these poorly constructed lock sets.I was looking for something affordable and attractive and these are definitely that. However, they are broken all around my house. They do not work well and I and others in my home have been locked/stuck in rooms when these broke in use. And they are irreparable.Please, do not waste your money buying these of your time installing these. They are terrible and do not lat.
