I searched high and low to find this perfect tray table! It is listed as a "Sofa side table", but it stays in front and pulls right under a chair or sofa, sliding away easily. For something so sturdy, it is very lightweight. I think of it as a work desk and TV tray. It is stable, ergonomic with its adjustable height - easily adjusted upward & you only need to try at all when you bring the height downward. Tilting it is easy too. The design is ingenious because it stays stable, yet brings your nice large work surface closer, or even your dinner- and utilizes space so well with its many functions! The light really is rechargeable with its included usb-c connector! The usb port is marked by a pull tab and also the location appears on the reverse side of the instructions (these instructions are in the drawer). The assembly is fool-proof! The light is a great bonus also! The book holder is well made. I had to realize you pull it past a sp eed bump and it slides easily then. My husband is impressed too with the workmanship - everything from the video quality and parts assembly to the adjustable features. The tray is stable and you would think it is a desk! Wow, this will probably add years to my mobility, avoiding strain to multiple body parts. The tray slides away easily and is safe on floors. I think it looks good too - not at all tacky. Not too big & not too small. As with any TV tray, you need to check under your chair or couch to see if the tray legs can slide beneath them. You would need exactly one inch of height in the space under a chair, for the legs to slide in under it, and just over 22" of width in that space. Our lift recliner would not work with this but our regular one does. The legs can be brought under the chair about 9.25" and this is a great help to good posture. I have not seen any tray of this size or even a bit smaller that can stay stable and slide in like that.Amazing tray!

Overall it's a good product. The substance, design and fit of the product are good. And, once I got started, the directions were fairly straightforward. Now that it's together, it's sturdy, functional, and attractive. I do recommend.Cons: I empathize with those who could not find the directions. I'd previously read the reviews and knew that the directions were hidden in the drawer, and still I panicked. It took me too much time to remember they existed. A simple easy peel sticker on the product letting the buyer know where to find the directions and tools would be a game changer. No one should have to be lucky enough to find a review that tells them where to find the directions, it just bad support.This was exacerbated by the amount of time it took to get the desk. Normally I don't need to rush the vendor, but this took 3 - 4 weeks to arrive.That said, I'd recommend this desk.

This had been on my buy list for a year, and I finally took the plunge to buy it. It's truly an amazing product for its value. The table is pretty sturdy, you'd have to be pretty forceful and intentional to push the table down. I really appreciate it has sliding and locking mechanism for it's legs. The table is perfect size and height to sit and eat or study. The top of the table is like a nice durable leather it states, feels good to the touch, doesn't seem like any problems trying to write on it, but good for computer and mouse for sure. I'll need to try writing on it. The book stand hids perfectly and conveniently under the mid table, cup holder study, and I like the little drawer to hold small items. The drawer was slightly smaller than my tv remote for my 55in tv, but it's pretty handy for other stuff. Table is easy to move up as shown in their install vid, not going to break your back. It took me about 25 min to install because I was trying to be pretty careful and not scratch stuff. Comes with Allen wrench and all the screws you need to put it together. It was actually unavailable when I followed up a year later, then when I saw it was back in stock, I went ahead and bought it. I'm definitely happy I did, plenty leg space and the table moves pretty easy on luxury vinyl floor planks, no scuffs. I'm 200 lbs, 5'6 in. Perfect for me and my needs. The light is removable, just make sure you remember which way it's supposed to turn. There's no required heavy force for any part of this product.

The screws & instructions are in the little drawer under the tabletop. This is a terrific table/desk, well designed & engineered, made of quality materials, sturdy & comfortable to use. It looks nice & blends in well in my living room. Height is easy to adjust. The rechargeable lamp adjustable with both position & brightness is great. The table top is slightly nonslip and is able to easily be put on a slant and used with my laptop & mouse securely staying put. It was simple to assemble using the combination of print & video assembly instructions. Someone thought it out perfectly- kudos & appreciation to you!

I love this. I was able to make it just the right height to type and do my work comfortably. I can position my legs comfortably because the front is completely open. It’s so sturdy that it doesn’t move when you are working on it. I use the reading light and the drawer. The only drawback is it’s heavy for me to take it into different rooms and to regularly adjust the height, but that’s probably because I’m weak. I end up keeping it in my kitchen at the perfect height, facing my chair to use it to do work. Of all the places I planned to cart this desk around to, the kitchen where I sit is the most common place I work and I just keep it there. I’m not taking off a star because the fact that it’s so sturdy is why I use it in the first place. Other portable desks I just don’t use.
