Q: Can I use this instead of actual cocoa powder to give a chocolate flavor to a protein shake?

I wouldn't, I used this to put in my homemade Kahlua recipe. It is superb in Kahlua. You might check directly with the company who makes it. Good luck and be safe.

Haven't tried it but if you kept it tightly covered it may work. I'd be more concerned about clumping than evaporation since it's a liquid.
