This product is confusing from the get go. It is simply identified as "Opticover" on the Amazon web site, arrived in a box marked "Wireless-N", was labeled Opticover on the instruction sheet, and then showed up as Wireless-N on my WiFi network. (Likely, Opticover is the company and Wireless-N is this particular product.) More importantly, the instructions are inaccurate and misleading. (As others have indicated, the instructions appear to apply to a different model.) The wireless indicator light never does produce the steady green light that I am told to expect if things are working. Rather it flashes rapidly from beginning to end, regardless of its connection status. And although I was instructed to enter a word (that the manufacturer provided) for both my username and password, there never was a window available to enter a username, only a password. Two methods are provided for set up. The easier Option One failed, so I tried Option Two. This required bringing up a screen on my browser. Confusingly, the screen that I was supposed to see according to the illustrations on the instructions was not what I actually observed. Overall, at a number of points I had to deduce what might be the likely action required. After an hour of trying this and that, and once actually resetting the device, I finally got it working. And just in time. I was fully prepared to send it back. In the end, I got the functionality I paid for, but after all that confusion and wasted time, there's no way I can give it more than two stars.EDIT: At the time of purchase, and at the time I wrote my review, this product had hundreds of 5 star reviews, and was designated as an "Amazon's Choice". That's why I bought it! Now that my review has just been posted, I am surprised to see that all the positive reviews have been deleted, leaving only 10 reviews, all of which are highly negative. I can only conclude that Amazon has found that 100% of the positive reviews were suspicious and were therefore deleted. This should not play out without comment from Amazon, especially since the product continues to be marked as "Amazon's Choice" (as of 19 June 2018). What say you, Amazon?

Instructions are terrible. WPS button won't connect it. Tried using LAN cable and it has been a hassle for over an hour... It's going back!

This product is going back. Instructions do not seem to apply to the product -- picture in the instructions is of a slightly different device with different led lables, so instructions do not make sense. Was unable to get past step one in the instructions. Worked for two hours -- was unable to find actual instructions on line. Beware of this one-- something very wrong, and others have had similar experiences.

First - there is no site to download updates; you can't find this company anywhere on the web. I bought three of these to cover my home and they each became unresponsive. The reset button does nothing, the documentation does not match the UI, and these are back in the box for return.

Defective product, would not pair with the router (and there is nothing wrong with router, as it pairs with all other devices in a house just fine). Instructions included are for a different model, with very small letters/signs, so pretty much useless. Waste of time, sending it back!!

I bought this because it had hundreds of 5 star reviews. It doesn't work at all, no troubleshooting. I found today that Amazon has deleted the positive reviews and now it has 10 1 star reviews. This product is crap and Amazon should not be selling it at all. I am returning it and going to Best Buy to purchase one that will work. Amazon, you need to get it together!

I went through 5 Wi-Fi range extenders before I ordered this one which worked like a charm. I can even use the LAN connection to have it assign IP addresses from my wireless network to wired clients even though I am using it in extender mode. I have seen a lot of models that disable the LAN/WAN interfaces if you are using it as a wireless extender as opposed to a WAP.

This never worked. I had to return it and get another brand which worked perfectly. I spent hours trying to get this going thinking it was me given the hundreds of positive reviews and being Amazon's choice! Those reviews has since been removed.
