The product works great and exactly as advertised. My old Dell Laptop battery gave me about 2 hours of power -- this one I am getting over 5, and that's with the battery settings at full performance. With battery saver on, I can get about 7 to 8 hours. I use this for evening classes where power strips are not readily available, and it's nice now not to have to worry that my battery won't die in the middle of class.Although the company doesn't provide instructions for this, it's important to condition any new battery: Charge it fully without use, then let it run fully unplugged until the battery dies, then charge it completely again without use. It's good to do this a couple of times, but even once can significantly increase the performance and life of the battery. I've noticed charge times from completely discharged to be about 2 hours....

This lasts over two hours on a charge. I don't know the exact time as I usually don't use it till it dies. I know that two hours doesn't sound like a lot in 2020, but its pretty good for a battery that costs a SMALL fraction of what a genuine Dell battery costs. This would get a lower rating if it was a Dell. Its WAY more economical to get this 9-cell battery as opposed to a 6-cell which gives much less time, for a relatively small savings. If this lasts two years, I'll probably get another one. (My 2-yr old 6-cell knock-off was down to 1/2 hour so I order this 9-cell one)

Worked for our old Dell that had a (EXT) battery that wouldn’t hold a charge anymore but couldn’t find the Extended Battery so this STANDARD one fit and works fine. Get a couple solid hours from it which is all we need for the times it not near a plug.

I see this is item is currently unavailable and I had forgotten to review it. I'm currently looking for a replacement as the battery will not run the laptop for 1 second. It ran for far less time than a 6 cell battery runtime brand new and then less than a year later was less than 5 minutes. Now, the laptop will not run without being plugged in.
