I must be getting old, getting this hyped
March 2025: My perception of robot vacuums was not the best, since the last one was a roomba from 6ish years ago, that thing got caught on everything and I had to empty it several times a cleaning. Recently I started getting overwhelmed trying to keep up with my cleaning, as I've got 2 dogs, a cat that tracks litter, and 3 cockatiels (which are very dusty birds, if you don't know). Initially, this bot was having some sort of issue with the water tank. I had it filled to the line but it just kept saying "insufficient water, please add water" and made a horrible squeeling sound when it was trying to wash the mop. After a quick Google search and trying a bunch of different troubleshooting on my own, I found someone said it worked after they gave a could of *firm* pats on the top. I tried this, made sure the soap bottle was securely in place, and she started right up! I've now done 3 cleanings with this bot, and I am VERY satisfied and amazed lol. It did get caught on a charger on carpet, but no big deal ill just make sure there aren't obstacles on the floor like that. It does a very good job of avoiding obstacles so far, and it fills me with joy seeing how clean my floors are now without me having to spend extra time! I was also very stoked that this bot is MUCH quieter than my old one!! The old one was hard to watch TV while it's going, and spooked my pets when it started up, this one is whispering in comparison. It is loud for a few seconds while it's emptying the dust bin, but even then it's not a jarring sound in my opinion. The bot itself and the home station seem to attract dust, or maybe that was just a result of my animal ridden house 😅 but I had to wipe it down the first day. This doesn't bother me, but seemed like something worth mentioning. I have high hopes for this bad boy, hoping it keeps up this performance! Update August 2025: The robot still cleans well, but its now giving me issues.. when it's emptying it's dustbin, it keeps disconnecting from charging, so it gets stuck in a loop of disconnecting the charging, to emptying dust, to disconnecting, etc. It just now was disconnected from wifi, so I took it off the base to reset it, and it said battery low, shutting down, although it had been on its base all night.. I'm unsure if this is a fixable issue, but I sure hope this thing didn't only last me 5 months. I'll mess with it and report back later. January 2026: the charging issue was only temporary, however it started giving me an error saying the dust bag is full and needs replaced, however the bag was brand new and empty. This issue almost made me get rid of the vacuum because it was no longer really cleaning, I had to manually take the dust bin out and empty it. Luckily, I decided to take the whole base outside and inspect it. I found 2 ports that come off where I can put a drain snake in, and it pulled out a bunch of wood chips (from the birds shredding their toys) and hair. The vacuum is now working great again, so im once again happy! I am keeping it out of my bird room though, I dont think birds and robot vacuums get along.

This is a great robot vac!
I named my robot vac K2 from a Star Wars character. Anyway, had this vac for about a month now and I must say he does a great job! He has gotten stuck a couple of times but not bad, you just get him unstuck and he resumes just fine. I love how the floors look after he vacuums and mops. I also love how I can pick rooms to clean first either to just vacuum or do both and I must add that the roller mopping is the best! Did alot of research on robot vacs and this one was the best in my opinion in technology and price.

Lasted 6 months
UPDATE: I could not return the unit because I am not in the US and they would not SELL me just the robot vacuum piece. Do not buy. My fault turned out to be the roller mop stopped spinning. UPDATE: after my review was posted customer service reached out to me and offered a refund with return of the unit. So I updated the stars to 3 for customer service. Got 6 months of use then the faulty messages started. Was sent a replacement piece but the error messages continued. Eufy has now offered me a 50% discount to buy a new machine 🤣 hard no. During the 6 months it worked I found it bumped into things, sucked up charging cords. It did keep the floors clean but with so many other problems I think there’s a better machine out there.

Great Robo Vac
I purchased this vacuum as an upgrade to my 2-year-old Eufy robot vacuum. This kit was up and running in a matter of minutes and the app is easy to use and understand. After the robot scanned the house I was able to program cleaning times and areas to avoid within a couple of minutes. I really like the ability to keep the noise level down on this new vac....my old Eufy robo vac was very loud and my family constantly complained that it disturbed them. This vac has a whisper quite setting which I use during cleaning times when everyone is home. The mop function is great and the obstacle avoidance is really nice. 100% improvement over my old robo vac.

So far so good
The instructions are pretty sparse. I spent the better part of an hour trying to figure why the robot wouldn't return into the base station until I realized an extra piece that came with the kit fit into the base. It cleans ok, although it always leaves trash in the corners so you do have to do some additional manual work. Since I have all hard floors the vacuum does pretty well. The mop does ok although on textured stone it needs several passes to clean completely. I read about the cleaning fluid not flowing enough unless you poke a hole on top. Honestly I can't tell how much cleaner it uses but it seems to clean so I guess it works ok for me. Overall it's worth the money I think. Definitely saving my back.

Great robot!
This replaced our Shark robot vacuum that’s a few years old. After doing some research, several places recommended the Eufy vacuum and mop combos. The app works great with the ability to save multiple maps for different areas of the house, scheduling cleaning, and changing settings very easily. No need to be an IT expert to navigate the app. You’re able to change the vacuum power, water usage with the mop, and how close the passes are to get a real deep clean. The robot is also smart enough to identify if the station isn’t placed in the exact same place every time, and will adjust accordingly. So much better than our old unit. We have new vinyl plank flooring and this does a great job both vacuuming and mopping. With 3 large dogs and a cat, we have tons of animal hair, plus we live in a very sandy area. So far this does an excellent job staying on top of keeping the floors clean. The clean and dirty water tanks are easy to manage, and the vacuum bag is easy to access. I highly recommend this unit for anyone that’s in the market for a robot vacuum and mop.

S1 is an amazing purchase!
This purchase was an absolute game changer for our home. We have a large dog (grate dane), and a baby due soon so we wanted to get something that would be able vacuum dogs hair and mop house without much attention from us. This does the job perfectly. It’s quite, it avoids objects well, it picks up all the hair and mops amazing. We were lucky to get it on sale dying the 4th of July, so if you can get this during a sale it’s such a great value!!! It had different settings for water usage, and suction force so it’s able to do whatever you need! Highly recommend to anyone who wants this (or the pro) but doesn’t want to spend the $1300… the customer service is great also… they personally email you back if you have questions or need help! Thank you, Eufy!

No manual? Two updates post purchase.
Update 8/24/25 - a lady got back to me from Eufy. I was asking if I could pay to upgrade to the S1 Pro. She did not respond to this request, but told me the S1 and S1 Pro had the same visual front end. So I started looking into it, and the two object avoidance eyes are not only not the same, they are very different. The S1 uses the AI.See optics, while the S1 Pro uses the 3D Matrix Eye, and the Lidar is different. The feedback and response from tech support has been pretty good, but this differentiator is important. So as compared to increasing a star I removed a start, and it has nothing to do with the upgrade request. The vacuum did an amazing job the first time it mopped the kitchen, but subsequent jobs have been streaky, and not anything like the first time. The vacuum has successfully mapped our home, but only does a perimeter sweep in one room, the rest of the rooms the vacuum turns around about 6-8" prior to the edge of the row it is vacuuming. All in all it's a good vacuum with a moderate mop, but we'll keep it. Update 8/20/25 - the company contacted me quickly, and took steps in an attempt to resolve my concerns. Today we noticed a different issue, that of distance measurements, and changing path 4-6" prior to an obstruction. I'm in contact with Eufy again, and based upon their previous replies, I expect a quick reply. I want to take a minute to cover a couple points now that it's been in operation for a week (all positives). This thing is super quiet compared to our expensive Rumba S9+. Yes, when it docks, that is louder than when vacuuming, but the duration is also shorter than the Rumba. It returns to the docking station with more frequency too. We count this as a good thing, because the Rumba would sometimes plug up with debris due to longer times out vacuuming. Mopping is also excellent. The clean out is a different sound, but not annoying. The mop head takes a long time to dry, and aside from getting used to what sound like a low flow computer fan, it is not offensive. If you're on a relative budget, I'd rate it as a strong 80% buy. If you are able to find the S1 Pro for a good price, and cost is not your determining factor, then buy the S1 Pro for the upgraded DME (distance measuring equipment - Lidar). P.s. I'm a 65 year old male and generally maintain our home, phones, and network tech, so performance is critical to me. P.s.s. I will be revising my star rating up after I talk with Eufy again. Original review. I'll start by saying all we've done is unbox it, connect to wifi, and set it up to charge. With that in mind, here are the first 30 minute positives and negatives. Positives - Very well packed. It is a clean design. Built in transformer, so no power brick. It comes with a Cautionary fold out, in 3 languages, but there is nothing about operating it in the fold out. Magnetic cover on the actual robot, with a power on switch under the cover. The QR code on the back of the cleaning station only provides the Model number of the Unit. The QR code under the magnetic robot cover is what you need to connect. Negatives - No information on how to connect. No information on what app to use (although pretty easily determined when searching Eufy in the apps store). No basic manual or documents included in the shipping box - nothing but the caution page. No obvious docking direction (also easily determined by the metal tabs on the back of the bot). The whisker brushes (2) snap onto square posts, so when they wear out, I'm worried about the durability of the posts. The vacuum segment is about 1/2 (I did not measure) of the overall width, while the roller brush is the full width for mopping. Our hope is the whiskers on either side extending the reach, negate the need for a wider vacuum port. A smaller port might actually increase the suction ability? For some background. We are replacing a still working, but brain damaged iRobot Roomba s9+ that we bought in 2021 (still works, but sometimes can't find home, or just gives up). There is a massive difference in the two, and a pretty steep learning curve, although a curve overcome with folks who can set up their own cell phone and work their in-home wifi access. Our iRobot Roomba s9+ was always horribly loud, so I can't imagine this Eufy S1 being louder, although that is a regular complaint (possibly from first timers who have no baseline?). Side note - We have a 160# Olde English Mastiff Female, and a short hair shedder, so any vacuum we have has to do well at dog hair clean up. It is visually appealing, and we don't need the mopping function, except possibly in the tile floor kitchen. Does it have the ability to zone clean and mop only that zone? No idea, since we don't have a manual, but we sure hope so. I'll update after the first cleaning, and see how the mapping goes. Our house is 85% vinyl plank, and the kitchen is ceramic tile, so if this does a proper mapping (with zoning preference, we might be in luck. Will also advise on dog hair.

Phenomenal
Phenomenal! Has made my return to work after maternity leave so much easier. We have red hardwood floors and it cleans them beautifully. 10 out of 10.

Your new best friend
I love my ‘Brian’. Super low maintenance with base station. Easy app. Does an excellent job cleaning the floors although doesn’t get right up to the edges and deep corners with the mop. What it does mop it mops very well and the ‘always clean’ mop feature works great. The base station’s vacuum is loud which might be a consideration for anyone wanting to schedule night cleaning. Overall very happy with my Eufy s1.

S1 v the Eufy Omni Pro 10..
It's interesting as we have the other eufy downstairs ( omni pro 10).. the pro 10 is laser and can see obstacles much better. The new S1 is better at cleaning really dirty floors..but because its got a camera lense to see objects..it doesn't always see cat toys on the floor as the light is poor in some rooms..where as the pro can see better using laser. I did think we were upgrading to the S1.. but wouldn't get that one again. Hope this helps.

Good Until It Isn’t
The robot worked well for a while but then I had an issue with the swivel wheel needing to be replaced (it’s about a $5 part). I reached out to their customer service in January to order one and they said it won’t be in until March. I reached out in March and they said it won’t be in until April. Now it’s the end of April and still no swivel wheel… the vacuum can’t function without it, it scratches the floor and can’t properly back onto the base. I’ve been unable to use it for 4 months now because a $5 part isn’t in stock, so beware if you have issues. They don’t stock critical parts and there’s nowhere else to get them (I’ve scoured eBay, amazon, and a few other sites, even asked customer service if there’s any other place I could order but they said no). Super disappointing because otherwise it would’ve been a 5 star.

Best robot mop in it's class!
I recently tried out a number of higher-end robot mop vacuums to help keep our house clean, which includes this Eufy S1. We have two dogs and our house is primarily hardwood so mopping was the priority vs vacuuming. I spent countless hours researching options and watching reviews on Youtube and settled on the Eufy S1 and the Mova P50 Pro Ultra for my main options. Purchased both on Prime Day and after a week of testing, the mopping ability of the Eufy S1 proved to be far superior to that of the Mova and it's ilk that simply has spinning pads to do the cleaning. The Eufy S1 cleans it's roller mop continuously while mopping the floors, so dirt never gets smeared around like it does with the Mova. I am amazed at how methodical this mop is when cleaning our floors. I would rate it's performance for mopping at a 10 while I would give the Mova a 6.5 to 7. For carpets, the Eufy S1 does a good job vacuuming but I would say that the Mova P50 handles carpet cleaning better and applies more suction. For carpet performance, I would rate the Mova a 8.5 and would rate the Eufy S1 a solid 7. The Eufy S1 app on my iPhone is rather intuitive and easy to use. It mapped my main floor in approx 10 minutes and I can adjust cleaning settings on the fly (suction power, vacuuming only, cleaning level and amount of water to be used when mopping). In short, I have been pleasantly surprised with how well the Eufy S1 performs. Coming from Roombas purchased in 2020, this robot mop and vacuum makes those units look like they belong in a museum with how they perform by comparison. If you value mopping ability over pure vacuum power, then I highly recommend the Eufy S1.
