This Avalon brand Celtic salt is an interesting condiment for use in cooking and baking or to use on your table. It is in fact not any healthier than regular table salt even though it does have slightly higher levels of trace minerals. You simply can’t safely eat enough salt to make any difference. It does look distinctly different as it’s light grey and slightly moist and would add a slightly different taste experience at the table or when used in cooking. The 4 pound container is offered at a good price but is way more of this nice salt than most people could ever use. I like this Avalon brand salt but would recommend starting with a smaller amount instead.

My husband uses this salt on a regular. His only dislike was that it was a bit too coarse for him. That’s said, the description says coarse, so we just didn’t read it well enough prior to ordering!
