Great customer service, Solid build, but not quite the right fit for me
I purchased the Aura A40 soundbar expecting a traditional 7.1 setup with a dedicated centre speaker. While the system wasn’t quite what I was looking for, it does offer excellent value for its price of £130.I purchased the Aura A40 soundbar to improve our family movie nights, upgrading from using two Alexa speakers. When the A40 was installed, the overall sound quality was much better, deeper bass, cleaner sound and more volume. However, I felt the stereo effect wasn't there, this was when i realised that the centre speaker is a soundbar that emits both the left and right channels alongside the centre channel. So it wasn't exactly what I wanted. Here’s how I’d rate the individual components:Build quality: 4.5/5 – Solid and well-made, could do with a HDMI port.Customer service: 5/5 – Emily and the ULTIMEA team were incredibly helpful, responsive, and truly care about their products, customers and brand.L & R speakers: 3/5 – Decent for their size.Surround speakers: 3.0/5 – Good sound but they replicate the main channels, which wasn’t ideal for me.Centre speaker: 4/5 – Clear and powerful, but slightly louder than the other channels.Subwoofer: 4/5 – Delivers solid bass. After a firmware update provided by ULTIMEA, there were improvements to the system, including better left and right channel separation and louder surround speakers. While this system didn’t fully align with my expectations, I’m impressed with ULTIMEA as a brand. Their D60 Atmos system looks like it may be a better fit for me, as the L & R speakers will be better positioned and so I’ll be exploring that next.If you’re looking for an affordable and well-built "virtual" surround system and don’t need HDMI, the Aura A40 is a solid choice. And with ULTIMEA’s exceptional customer service you're in good hands.

surround sound
great value and the sound is great i would recommend it just two things 1st keep the surround sound speakers -3 to get the full effect if this is set too high then all the sound is the same as the front speakers also I fitted bigger front speakers as the ones supplied were to small

Adequate
The kitchen telly needed a soundbar. I saw this in the Prime Day sale and it looked great value for money. With it on the face of it having more features than my Samsung soundbar, that got relegated to the kitchen and this was installed in the living room. It was fast and easy to set up. The speakers look good and none of them are bulky, so fit discreetly aroubd the room. However, I've been disappointed with the depth, quality and clarity of the sound it preduces. Unlike my old Samsung soundbar, this doesn't come out of standby when the TV is switched on, so you have to switch it on separately. The remote control also clashes with the led backlights that I installed behind the TV ages ago, so every time I adjust the surround volume, the lights change colour. Mildly irritating.Consequently, yesterday I moved my Samsung soundbar back into the living room, where the bulk of TV viewing happens, and this has been moved to the kitchen, where it was intended for in the first place. It's an adequate (at best) speaker system that just needs to be louder than the cooker hood while making dinner.
