Some background information. We have a beautiful 5 year old grey tabby that has dermatitis from allergies. After many trips to the vet we still do not know the cause of the allergic reactions. She has been on vet prescribed hypoallergenic food, we changed all of our household cleaning products to natural products, etc... She is on monthly flea control as well. The vet said that even though she is on flea control, one flea bite and still cause the reaction....great. She is an indoor/outdoor under supervision cat. She had been on steroid treatments which seemed to help for the short term but once she went off of it, the itching, gnawing, and bald patches returned. Also, while she was on steroids her disposition changed significantly. She tolerated the steroids well but she was extremely moody - growling, hissing, biting, huge appetite and weigh gain.. to say the least.My husband researched this product and we decided to try it. I can't say it has completely cleared up her problem but I can say it has improved her situation. We decided to forego the steroids for awhile to see what happened with her moods. It has been 6 weeks since she is off of steroids and her mood has improved as has her weight. She is happier and her coat is so soft since we started her on this product. Her itchiness has subsided but it is still there. I just ordered more as I do think it takes time for products to run their course and be helpful. I am just grateful that she has responded and seems more comfortable. She also allows me to spray this on the affected area. We tried other "hot spot" treatments and it really upset her and when she licked it off she would foam at the mouth...not good. I believe this product is much better to spray on the areas affected vs. others and she is fine with it. Thank you Derma-iONx!

DOES NOT WORK. Just had to go spend an additional $200 at the vet when Derma-IonX didn't help AT ALL. And the vet told me to discontinue using it immediately. My dog has been itching and chewing his fur off, his skin has been raw and flaky and even bleeds sometimes and nothing works, veterinarians have misdiagnosed him and I was really hoping this product would be the miracle cure but it seems I spent $45 for water. Save yourself the extra money. Suck it up, go to the vet, make sure you are PERSISTENT with the doctor to check any and all possibilities for your pet's skin problem, don't just take their first diagnosis because sometimes vets don't want to do the extra work. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. Just tell your vet you really want to clear all possibilities and really get to the heart of the matter and they will comply.

My cat was suffering from an allergic reaction and short of bathing her every few days with a special shampoo, there wasn't anything the vet could recommend to relieve the itch. My poor cat was one scabby mess, especially around her head and chin. In desperation I tried this product. To my surprise It worked very well indeed. She wouldn't allow me to spritz her with it (it comes with a small bottle for spritzing purposes), but soaking a cotton ball in the solution and gently dabbing it on the affected areas until it penetrated her fur provided her with hours of relief. I double checked with my vet to make sure that the ingredients were safe, and she did not know of any reason they shouldn't be.

I 'had' a cat and a small dog with itchy spots at the base of their tails. First I used the spray bottle to spray the areas until almost dripping. Then, every day when the water is changed I place a few drops in the water. In less than a week the itching had almost subsided in both animals. After 2 weeks the itchies were completely gone! I love this product. No more watching my animals suffer while trying everything I can find (including vet prescribed meds!). The cost is a bit high but it is TOTALLY worth it to not only the animals but their humans who have to watch their babies suffer.Update - I water my animals with filtered water from the fridge dispenser. The filter gave me the yellow (get to the store and buy another filter!) light and a few weeks later I noticed the pup scratching at his back again. New filter and a few days later all was well. The instructions say not to use this with chlorinated water and it's serious. Should be in big bold letters.

My cat doesn't take to this product well. It claims to be odorless and tasteless, but it has a slight smell and taste. I've tried putting it in my cat's water bowl and tried mixing it with wet food, but he can tell its there and won't touch it. I'll keep trying to give it to him and see if things change.
