Nice books
Simple Exercises for bodybuilding( what you really need) , not much explanation about biomechanics. Good summary on how to approach the diet and how to calculate the right amounts of macros and Kcal.

Got both books! The complete package!!
Pre-ordered this book with high expectations after buying Volume 1 (muscle building program design).***THIS BOOK DELIVERS***It arrived as advertised even though Amazon emailed to say it was going to be late - but this has been worth the wait.DESIGNED FOR YOU.I've always struggled with understanding how to eat according to my goal. I know what healthy eating looks like, but this book teaches you all about how to design a nutrition plan based on my body and goals!SIMPLICITYPlenty of visuals and graphics with high quality knowledge without the confusion. It has a very easy step-by-step guide to calculating calories based on your start point - and what's even better is it helps you to grasp how to adjust as you progress (I think it's hugely important to be able to learn more about how your body works and how to respond depending on what clues and signs it's giving) - this book does it all.INSPIRINGI've always hated cooking and preparing meals as I never have any idea of what to make. This often leads me to create boring dishes and ultimately has me giving up because I love variety in anything I do.(Call it a short attention span)NO EXCUSESI would recommend pairing this book with the first to get the best of both worlds (training and nutrition) and to get started with whatever goal you've always been itching to achieve but never had the road map to get you there. These two books will give you all that you need to have the strongest possible start.** Motivation is not included - but they do a damn good job of firing you up and feeling like there should no longer be a reason why you don't make significant progress!

I was impressed
I've just had a baby (3 months ago) and desperately trying to get back into my fitness regime, gain muscle tone and lose some fat. Prior to giving birth I've been doing Crossfit for a few years now and during this time have tried a number of diets and paid for nutritional coaching etc.Even though in theory l know stuff, l wanted a bit of help specifically around my goals. I'm not interested in Slimming World, Wright Watchers type approach as my diet needs to support my fitness lifestyle. This book is really really good (and I'm difficult to please). No nonsense and honesty, it takes you through preparation, calculating macros (have a calculator ready) and l like that the emphasis was on what your goals are.Whether you want to just lose weight or are a keen fitness enthusiast l think this book would serve you well.I use this in conjuction with MyFitnessPal so it makes tracking your good easier. One thing l will point out as its easy to miss in the book, is that you need to calculate your macros using the method in the book and then overright the suggested macros in MyFitnessPal. It will make a difference in what you are trying to achieve. The book advises doing this approach for 12 weeks and having a but of a break as for some this type of meal planning can be hard to maintain. I'll do another update in 10 weeks time to let you all know how I've got on.If nothing else this public promise will encourage me to stick with it.Thanks Nick and Jonathan, great book!

Best performance meal planner out there!
Really enjoyed this book as it cuts through the tangle of advice. Depending on which other books I read my calorie target varied by up to 800 per day! The tables at the back are a great quick start and the whole thing just makes sense. So why not 5 stars? It’d be nice to have some batch cooking recipes as I don’t have time for a daily shop or cook and have to fit in with family meals. A sample weekly shopping list would be great, along with the interactive content similar to some of the other books I’ve got by the same author. A recommended purchase.

A serious work for people serious about results
This book is a further step up in the way Nick Mitchell presents granular, specific frameworks for how to transform your body composition. It is predicated on the idea the reader is committed and understands the essential role of diet in a transformation but leaves flexibility for individual goals and specialisms. While the book is as approachable as any diet fad bestseller this is authorative. The qualification to me for that is to be based on hundreds of case studies not a handful, to be grounded in decades of commitment to the topic and most of all to be based on knowledge refined and adapted over the years as sports science and nutrition has come on leaps and bounds. The book is half the price it should be given it’s substance and readers will read it thoroughly and then use it as a reference many many times over

THE BEST BOOK on meal plan design
I cannot stress and recommend this book more. This is the best investment you can make in your fitness journey. The illustrations are perfect, the content is well researched and well communicated visually. I now perfectly understand the "how". Everyone keeps talking about the "What" but these guys show you the "how" quite perfectly in this book. Thank you.

Very concise
I am a big nick mitchell fan and enjoy all his work. This is a great book with very thorough information. I have been training and dieting for 22yrs now so know my way around a chicken breast and a tin of tuna so was not expecting a lot but I was really pleased with it

Nothing revolutionary in here. It's okay though for intelligent beginners
*SIGH....I was hoping for so much more. Do I have to write my own book so that people can find an easy to follow efficacious manual? Nick has so much more to offer other than this generalised lazy effort.
