The Good: it throws a lot of sparks with the included scraper and the compass was accurate. The bad: The whistle is, to no one's surprise, is worthless. The ferro rod is noticable worn after a half dozen strikes The lowdown: If you need to be able to throw sparks in an emergency, this is a good choice. If you're looking for a bushcraft rod to last a few seasons, this isn't it.

I've never used one of these to start a campfire. This item made it easy. Nice and sturdy. I had a fire going in no time. The only issue was that the compass wasn't with it, but to me that wasn't a deal breaker.

For how cheap it is it works. Only got it to light something once, with pine needles. Other wise nothing else would light. Probably because I was doing something wrong.

I watch a lot of Naked & Afraid, and I wanted to see how hard it was to start a fire. It's extremely harder than it looks but this put out a lot of sparks and worked great!

Good 5-in-1 Fire Starter Multi-Tool Striker. Tool seems to be good but no instructions on how to start fire or use tool at all. The first shipment I got had some other device in it and I had to return it and the supplier sent me the correct tool the second time around but the tool was just loose because it came out of the package it was in and was just bouncing around in the larger Amazon box it shipped in. Hence, the 3 stars after all of this.

What more can I say I'm a hit in my tribe , no more hunting gathering , now I am the keeper of flame.. Very easy to strike a spark .. not much effort.

I got this for my husband. He loves it. It works great. He will put it in his hunting pack. It won't take up any room or add extra weight. So it's perfect. He said that he is glad I gave it to him.

I used this product to teach my kids how to make a campfire it very easy to use. I’m going to have to buy more great gift idea for the outdoor type person. Definitely a must have on your next camping trip.
