Works great when removing hooks that the fish swallowed
I would recommend this product to everyone that fishes. Excellent tool for the tackle box.

Worked well until I lost it.
Yup, had it for about a day to replace the one that came on my little retractable pin-on holder thingamabob. Seemed to be better quality than the one I originally had. Then I lost my life jacket along with the little retractable thingie and my new forceps. So I had it for about two days. Was it just strange coincidence, or is there some curse upon this item that makes you lose it so that you have to go back and buy another? Seems like a conspiracy to me!

simple and effective, doesn't hurt the pocketbook
i've been using these forceps-style hook removers since i was a kid. there are no frills, no fancy rubberized grips and no multi-tool functions like a bottle opener or fish scaler. they are made to do one thing, and they do it well. their minimal size makes them an easy fit into any tackle box, and they literally last for years.so if they work so well, why am i buying them again? because my buddy liked my old pair so much that i let him have them. which is fine, because for $7 i was happy to get a new pair for myself.

Must have for any fisherman!
It takes a minute to remember that you don't have to keep squeezing these like a pair of pliers. Once your attached to the hook you can just twist or swivel them to dislodge and remove the hook. These work like a charm for getting small hooks out of panfish mouths and reaching deep for swallowed hooks that you would have to cut off normally. Highly recommend having a pair of these in your tackle box. Very important tool!

These s perfect for getting swallowed hooks out of small fish
These s perfect for getting swallowed hooks out of small fish. Like the other reviews said, they are not precision surgical instruments but they are cheap and will do the job. It's hard to find ones small enough for the little fish that steals your hook. Any catch and release fisherman should have a pair at all times.

Not quiality but they work
Nothing exciting about these forceps they are not stamped eagle claw on them anywhere. Whose to say if they are, there forceps they do what they are suppose to I would not purchase another pair.Spend your money on a better option. When I got them they needed oil they were very stiff. If your on a budget or don't care for quality these will work for you.

Good enough
The forceps will carry their intended function, but they are not overly professional looking. One tip was about 1/32" longer then the other, and the locking mechanisms did not quiet meet up. The work great, but they appear to be built sloppy. Don't buy these if clean appearance is important.

Good Buy
At first I was skeptical of the quality these would be after ready some reviews. I ignored the bad reviews and got them anyway. At only $4 you can't go wrong. I received them today and they appear to be high quality and will suit my needs. (Fishing) I gave these forceps 5/5 because they are well made at a cheap price.
