- Pomona Organic Pure Tart Cherry Juice, No Sugar Added, 12-pack

Pros/Cons: I'm delighted to report that this really does help with reducing inflammation issues. I knew it was recommended for a friend who suffers with gout from his doctor and that it was working well for him. I have severe joint issues from multiple injuries and two crushed vertebrae, osteoporosis, and arthritis. As an elderly senior with vertigo, it is imperative that I prevent any further damage to my bones. I don't like drugs that come with side effects that are as bad as what I'm trying to heal so Mother Nature is my first choice. This Organic Pure Tart Cherry Juice has only the natural sugar and no added sugars. I chose this because it is not from Concentrates and comes in durable glass bottles. I drink half of it each afternoon mixed with water and an additional juice added (1/4 cup grape or peach) to sweeten it a bit. The Tart Cherry Juice is TART as it states and although I could drink it diluted with just water, it is even better with those juices. Refreshing, must be kept cold once opened and away from heat and light. A case of this lasts me almost a month. A Bonus is that it allows me to sleep several hours (up to 4) throughout the night now before I have to get up to relieve myself. My energy throughout the day has greatly improved simply because I can get quality REM sleep now. I can control the amount of sugar I'm ingesting because of the clearly marked ingredients. Some labels are vague or simply try to hide whatever else they are not disclosing. This has NO Lemon in it as some reviews claimed so if it had that before, they no longer have it now. The bottle must be shaken well each time before you drink it. Note that refrigeration will preserve the quality and flavor. The color is a deep, clear wine colored juice and does appear more cloudy when the glass bottle has been refrigerated. That's normal when glass gets cold. I will purchase it again as long as I can afford it. One final note: I've noticed the same sleep benefit with the concentrated version that is in plastic bottles by other brands. They are much less expensive than Pomona. I drank one quart of that to test it out and did the same juice/water addition as it also had no added sugars. I prefer smaller quantities over large because it must be drunk within a few days once opened and refrigerated before it loses its' peak quality. It wouldn't be an issue if more than one person is drinking it daily so consider your own needs and family size requirements. This is the first case of 12 that I've tried and I will update my review after I've had a month's use as to how successful it is with reducing my inflammation pain. Right now, I'm happy just with the fact that it appears to be beneficial in reducing the need to urinate as frequently during the night. Hope this helps folks decide if this is worth trying for the same reasons I have! Recommended.

I absolutely love it. I know it is expensive but everything in comparison: a decent bottle of wine is the same price but the health benefits of the tart cherry juice is above and beyond.

The box I received was thick corrugated cardboard. While there wasn't any foam, it didn't seem to need it. The box clearly had marked "this side up" arrow, but the Amazon driver set the box on its side and clearly didn't read. That said, there weren't any leaks. The bottles had the new label. Both the box and the bottles had an expiration date of 3/20/2028. I wasn't sure what to expect in flavor as I never had cherry juice before, but for me it had the perfect amount of sweetness. I love that it's cold pressed and plan to continue purchasing more and also trying their other juices.
