Tasty, creative and relatively simple dishes
We love these recipes in our house and a few have become staples for us. Tasty dishes without hours and hours of prep. I’m a big meat eater but would happily eat these dishes as an alternative

A great book
This is a great book with lovely illustrations and recipes. Great to have recipes that only require a single pan and no complex blending.

Good but vegetarian recipes have non-veggie cheese in...
I ordered this book at 11am and it was delivered by Amazon on the same day at 6.30pm, so top marks for delivery speed.I found this book quite interesting and it will be useful in the future. I don't really enjoy cooking and I don't have a lot of time for it either, but with three other mouths to feed in the house I needed inspiration for nice meals that require minimal effort from me. This book has given me many ideas and I will be trying them. For example, whole stuffed mini pumpkins with sage ad goats cheese sounds good, as does red wine mushroom casserole with cheese cobbler topping or all-in-one sweet potato thai curry. These will be some of the first recipes I will try. Now, I do like this book and a do recommend it but it in not perfect....I find it annoying that the vegetarian recipes often include parmesan or gorgonzola - these cheeses are NOT suitable for vegetarians (more info on this further down). It's disappointing that these cheeses have been included in a vegetarian recipe book. Of course this isn't an issue for vegans but it could cause problems if someone who eats meat uses this book to prepare a meal for someone who is vegetarian. The author did make reference to the fact that her boyfriend like ready-rolled puff pastry and there would be a bunch of these types of dishes. These are mainly in the vegetarian section. The first couple are interesting enough but after a while the rest of the pastry tray bakes/tarts/quiche gets a bit boring. The use of large double-page pictures of one dish I find a bit annoying too. I'll want to grab this book, find something quickly and chuck it all in a dish ready for the oven, not turn pages of filler.Apart from that the book is in a nice order, a nice size and contains useful mix and match charts to provide inspiration for creating warm salads, all-in-one stews/tangines/curries, tarts and gratins. For those of you reading this who didn't know these cheeses aren't suitable for vegetarians, it's because parmesan and gorgonzola are protected products and must be made in the traditional way in order to be called 'parmesan' or 'gorgonzola'. The traditional methods include the use of calf rennet, an enzyme taken from the stomach of a newly-born (but then slaughtered) calf. More info can be found online.Alternatives of these are available. Sainsbury's and Ocado stock 'Vegetarian Italian Hard Cheese' which is identical to parmesan. I am unaware of a vegetarian gorgonzola however there are other soft blue cheeses widely available in supermarkets that could be used, such as Dolcelatte.

Amazing recipes, so easy, so delicious and all in one pan - you have to buy this book!
Wow! If you love one pan delicious, healthy meals like me, you will LOVE this book and the rest of them in the range. It's genius! The recipes are exceptionally straight forward and include a wide range of vegetables, herbs and spices. All cooked in the oven and ready in half an hour or thereabouts. There is so much flavour and variety to be had. It has even given me confidence to produce some fab meals with store cupboard/fridge ingredients. This has been a massive hit with our family too. It's GENIUS!

Easy cooking
This will come down to your own preference. It is a cookbook not suited for myself as it takes the joy out of cooking and it is a simple task of combining vegetables, grains, pulses and spices in different ways. Slap everything in a tray and let the oven do the rest. Good for beginners, people who want to try more vegetables in their diet, or who want it simple with minimal fuss, time and cleaning. There's a handy list of ingredients you can combine to make your own oven platters. Recipes are easy to follow, clear, have pictures for those who want a visual representation of the dish before making it, and a short list of ingredients. As with most.cookbooks, feel free to substitute and adjust where needed. The book does as it says on the tin so can't fault it (no option for a neutral rating), I simply should have done my own research and read some reviews.
