Won't wash out
I tried to like this but it didn't work. I followed the directions and went on their blog for tips, but I couldn't get it out of my hair. It could have been my water, but I did install a shower filter. My hair wasn't even that chemical laiden to begin with as I don't dye it and was previously water only washing. It just wouldn't wash or brush out of my hair and made my hair heavy and sticky. I had to wear my hair up for the months I tried it.I am currently using it as a face mask. It does have quality ingredients and I can see the detox results.

Very happy
I love this product. I was hospitalized for 2 months, on way too many antibiotics and drugs. I came home.on heart medications and a blood thinner and more antibiotics, weak and with yeast overgrowth on my scalp. So itchy and smelly. I tried everything, homeopathic and allopathic. The allopathic yeast drug hurt and really messed up my digestive system, with no relief. The homeopathic worked for a few hours or a day, but not to end this issue. I used organic apple cider, a no sweetener of any kind diet, I'm still on no sweeteners and no processed foods.. Finally I saw this on Amazon and thought, why not. Its a little weird to use after using foaming shampoos, BUT, I am finally seeing and feeling relief. The itch is subsiding. The stinky scalp is much less. My hair feels and looks wonderful, it is clean and has great volume, though I had to rewire my thinking to understand that just because my hair did not squeak when washed, did not mean it was not clean. I also had to teach myself how to use this shampoo, it seemed like I had to use a lot at first, but learned how to use warm water to help it spread through my hair without using 1/4 cup of the product. I had to learn not to use it like a foaming chemical based shampoo and not to over use it, and to rinse well. I have very long, just below mid-back, natural, normal to dry, silver hair. I'm 62. I have ordered the pine shale shampoo, to see if it will in combination with the apple cider shampoo, cure the beast. I am very pleased and finding relief with this product. AND, No one from this company contacted me, solicited me, or gave me any incentive, or free items, or reduced price to write my review. There is no nepotism, or friendship with owners or employees. It works for me. Will it work for you, who knows, we are all chemically, socially, and culturally different. I decided to take the risk, it's expensive for my disabled, retired budget. But, it works and thats worth pinching out the pennies to me.

Too greasy no matter what I tried...
I'm really into holistic lifestyle changes and am particularly interested in natural beauty products. (I am a licensed Esthetician...I've made it my career after all!) I had heard about this all natural, raw, vegan product on numerous holistic lifestyle blogs, and it had been given a five star rating on practically 100% of them. I have extensive knowledge and practical use with dozens of different cleansing conditioners, and I use them almost exclusively to wash my hair, and have for about four years. I avoid harsh, sulfate, salt, and paraben containing hair shampoos like the plague on my long, medium textured, highlighted hair. But the trouble with most cleansing conditioners on the market is that they are not 100% natural- this one actually is, which is why I was very eager to try it.The ingredients are top notch and the company's integrity is impressive- they are really committed to offering healthy, natural products, which is really nice in this day and age. The company also seems very committed to educating the public on how to use their products for best results. If you have never used a "co wash" or conditioning type of hair cleanser before, their website offers numerous tips and articles on their blog about exactly how to go about getting the best results from this different shampoo. I had also scoured all of the holistic blogs which featured it, and the authors' different experiences with the product (and how they used it and tweaked it lots of different ways) for best results.Bascially, after all of this research, I got to the point to where I completely understood that you were supposed to use this product properly by using very VERY little, and massage it directly onto the scalp, let it set for a bit, and then very thoroughly, rinsing it off. The website and different blogs actually give you different ratio formulas on how to mix with water so that it doesn't get overly concentrated. Again, too much will leave you very greasy, no matter how much you rinse. So here goes....it was extremely difficult to rinse off completely- and my hair was very greasy after I washed and dried each time, even without conditioner. I used it approximately five different times over a two week period ( I'm used to washing my hair every 3-4 days with different cleansing conditioners I've used.)No matter how I tried to mix it with distilled water in the different ratios suggested in a shaker bottle, etc. etc. ..my hair always, always turned out extremely greasy and dirty looking after I used it. And yes, I also understand completely that the Company talks extensively about a "detox period" that may take up to several weeks and or months, in which your hair adjusts and normalizes its sebum output for best results. Trouble is, before I started using this, I figured that I wouldn't have to endure a grueling detox period, beacause up to this point, as I mentioned, the cleasing comditioners I was using were "fairly" natural, without too many chemical ingredients and were silicone free, etc. ( silicones coat the hair shaft and cause heavy buildup over time.) The company says using these types of ingredients on your hair is what causes the detox phase in the first place, because your scalp has to basically purge itself from harmful synthetics and silicones, etc. I wasn't using these types of ingredients (even though the cleansing conditioners I was using before MM were not 100 % natural, most of these types of ingredients were absent in the formulas.) But my supposed detox was just unbearable, and unfortunately, the greasiness was just too much to bear. I got sick of wearing a ponytail day after day and trying to be patient. The urge to wash even after drying my hair, (immediately after a wash) was so overwhelming it was terrible. Maybe others have used this product with great results, (and according to their albeit " sponsored" experiences) apparently they have. I just couldn't tweak it enough to make it work for me although I really, really wanted to make it work, based on the high quality ingredients. I think for my hair type, it wasn't so much about a "detox" as it was that the product just doesn't agree with my hair. Using my other cleasing comditioners, my hair never gets too greasy and like I said, some days I can go for 4 days without washing it ...I think my sebum output and scalp health was pretty good and normal before I started usimg MM.Oh well, too bad. I'm out about 30 bucks now. I waited too long to return it. Oh well. If you are still curious, try it. It may work for you. If it doesn't, return it in a timely manner, so you won't be out the money!

Great smell!
Like I said in a previous review, my hair just does not like this stuff no matter what I do or how long I use it. I tried sticking it out through the transition period where your scalp and hair turn ugly and gross, but it wasn't working. I like the spice smell though!
