Great shellac. .
Mixes easier than flakes

Least yellow shellac I've used
All shellac has yellow/orange tints, but this is the most clear shellac I've used. it mixed effortlessly with isopropyl alcohol (90%) thanks to being powdered and not in flake form - I could use it almost straight away!Otherwise, this seems like a nice, typical shellac with a great color. I prefer a "1 pound cut" which is on the lighter side, as it leaves behind a very thin coat that is easy to wipe over again to build up.

Great Sealer
Dewaxed shellac has a reputation in the woodworking world as a universal sealer. While it's not 100% compatible with all finishes, it really is a fantastic in-between layer for two finishes that might not normally adhere to one another. This shellac arrived pulverized into a powder, which is a good thing (takes less time to dissolve). It was clumpy, though, so it will take some elbow grease to get the whole thing back to a fine powder. The dry stuff has a much longer shelf life than pre-mixed shellac, so it's great for hobbyist woodworkers who don't go through gallons of finish every week. I do wish the bag was labeled, though. Mine was just packed into an unmarked resealable mylar bag.

Overpriced for what you get.
The media could not be loaded. Questionable purity, and way overpriced for what you get. Mixed at a 2lb cut with denatured alcohol and it dissolved slowly. It's been over 48hrs and there are still solids in the bottom. Color is average for blonde shellac. Overall, nothing special, and not worth it. Buy a bag of flakes for half the price and grind them yourself, or wait a little longer for them to dissolve.

gritty
gritty layer on the bottom of glass container after dissolving blonde shellac had to filter this out. never had this problem with flakes . possibly due to grinding process. I will stick with flakes from now on.
