High quality, works great!
Works great and very handy to have a stand alone server available at all times. Super easy to install. Ubiquity provides superb tech support.

Great remote access solution
Super product and the delivery was amazingly fast. The configuration was a bit confusing since I had already installed the desktop controller. I had to research how to "adopt" or migrate the existing Ubiquiti products to the Cloud Key controller but it wasn't that difficult since I am use to solving these types of IT problems.

The best way to setup a reliable network
We struggled when we started using Ubiquiti products until we found that having a cloud controller on-premises makes all the difference. It is a great tool and makes configuration easy and consistently accessible if we have the cloud account.

great tool to access network equipment remotely.
If you don't want to run a server, this is the next best thing. i tried to see if Ubiquiti had a sever i could run on a raspberry pi, but the OS they recommended weren't compatible. great tool worth the money.

Great Device, setup is rough
I bought this device to make my life easier with a new client three hours away. The wheels completely fell off on the installation. I thought the flow was the cloud key (ck) tunneled through to ubnt and then I would use their portal to manage a remote network; not the case. You do not need a ubnt account for a ck... Essentially you are natting to your ck... The ck needs a couple of ip's opened up; well published. I am not sure if this is accurate or not, but ubnt said you can only have one controller per site... "Somehow" you need to move your site to the ck either by migration or export import of the site, you cannot adopt with the username/ssh password, this will cause you grief. I had to factory reset a switch after doing this on the ck because no controller effectively owned it. After hours of struggling to get rid of the "connection failed" message via ubnt, a light finally went on; I natted the ck, migrated from my desktop controller and called it a day.

very disappointed
I have had nothing but issues with the Cloud Key since I purchased to product. My CK constantly drops offline and needs to be rebooted. I have used PoE to power and multiple USB power adapters and made sure firmware was up to date for the controller and the CK nothing fixes it. It also is super sluggish when it does work and won't read the SD card any longer.

Awesome Idea
Once again, another brilliant Ubiquiti innovation. If you are wondering what this is, it gets rid of the need to run a software controller on your laptop or whatever. This is a full-time Ubiquiti controller.

Make sure you have or have ordered proper (48V) POE injector or USB Type C cable
Ordered one of these in without power supply, because I had POE injector, and it would also power by USB, so no need to order a power supply. WRONG! I had 12-18V POE, these require 48V, no problem just run it off USB. WRONG! Yes it has a USB power port, but the connection is USB Type-C, which is little used, and not something I had. had to order https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B074GVZCM6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1, in order to power it up. Once powered up, got it configured with some help from utube videos, working fine.
