Great for lights
These were recommended by the contractor that built our patio covers. They work great for certain things. We live on a hill where we get lots of wind. I hung ghosts from them for Halloween and a couple of them blew down, so I had to get the metal ones that hang over the beams. I'm sure they'll be perfect for the party lights because there's not enough surface to catch the wind like the ghosts. Thank you.

Saved me from drilling
These hooks saved our viynl siding! No need to drill! They slide right in and fit perfect! It said the weight limit was up to five pounds....but I used three and distributed the weight between them for heavier items. They didn't recommen doing that, but it worked great for me!!!I was able to decorate in no time and removal will be the same!I'm so glad i looked these up before damaging our viynl. Best invention ever, thank you!

Great idea/questionable execution.
Great idea but the hooks as they come are too arrow. They fall right out. Purchased a clear 1/4” hose with a 3/8” outside diameter and they are still a little loose but will do the Job. If you don’t mind the work to get the lm usable then maybe you should think twice about buying.Update. After installing my string lights I learned if your sliding the hooks on the inside of the structural beam then the hooks need a sleeping to fit. If you slide them on the outside of the patio then the hooks are just slightly smaller than needed. They do the job and it easier and more desirable than drilling into your patio.

Great hooks for hanging lights!
I am so glad I found these! I have been wanting to hang lights on my patio for a long time, but I didn't want to drill holes or use tape. These work perfectly. I bought some solar lights that come on automatically when it gets dark, strung them up using the hooks, and placed the solar panel on the roof of my deck in less than 10 minutes. I don't have to worry about turning them on and off and I don't need an electrical supply.

Very happy with these hooks!
I bought the heavy duty lights from Costco & wanted to hang them on my Alumawood patio. I found these hooks on Amazon & decided to give them a try. I did have to buy some plastic tubing like other reviewers suggested in order to get the hooks to fit nice & snug. It was just a few dollars for a 10 ft piece. My package of hooks was missing 3 hooks and the seller quickly replied that they'd send me a 6pk which is very nice of them. I definitely recommend these to anyone with an Alumawood patio.

Useless
When watching the video, the guy pushes these in place as if solid. The reality is far different. I have no idea what alumawood cover he is using to demonstrate but they are far too thin for the gaps. The concept works well so as not to drill holes everywhere but! I used them to put up a string of Christmas lights. They are so unsecure the first sign of wind half fell out. Useless piece of kit.As a few have snapped due to being pulled out by a breeze I can't return them. If I'd known I would have opted for the flat ones instead as I assume they would be better suited than these.

You can get these to fit tight!
I read all the reviews and found these were my best option for my Pergola Patio Roof. I didn’t want to drill holes in my Pergola so I got these and I used plastic tubing and self bonding tape to get the proper fit for each hook. I cut the hook to size, cut the plastic tubing to slide over the hook and if it was still a little loose, I wrapped a small amount of self bonding tape around the plastic tubing. Each hook fit nice and tight and I haven’t had any problems whatsoever.

Expensive
They did the job for me. I hung a 24 bulb string of LED bulbs, that were on the heavy side.I uses zip ties on the cord because the hooks did not fit the loops on the cord. The hooks do not seem like a sturdy plastic, they are like plastic clothes hangers. They are light weight but I do not think that is a good thing. And the reason for my low review is the price, $1.00 per hook.
