I have a nut allergy so chestnuts are the only nuts I can eat. These are soft and a bit sweet. Love them.

Do not buy. Every package has black chestnuts with a film on them. Threw out both boxes.

They’re perfectly roasted, naturally sweet, and make a great snack that’s both nutritious and satisfying. I love that they come in a resealable bag, keeping them fresh for whenever I want a quick snack or to add them to my meals. They’re also versatile for cooking and baking, which is a bonus. Plus, being vegan, gluten-free, and organic makes them a guilt-free treat.

I don't have a lot of chestnut experience but these were pretty good. Different from what I'm used to but not bad. Was nice to give them a try.

Like many, I grew up listening to "chestnuts roasting on an open fire", without ever really having the experience of what a chestnut, in fact, was. I love nuts, so I was curious to give them a try!They are definitely not what I was expecting. They're slightly damp and the texture, to me, is very reminiscent of eating beans or hummus. They have that slight "graininess" like a bean. They didn't taste off in any way, so I did some investigating online - and sure enough, this is exactly what a roasted chestnut should be like.There's not much in the way of flavor, just a sort of vague, neutral nuttiness, maybe a little bit sweet. I will say they're not my favorite flavor/texture combination, but having them with salt and heated up a little does help. I can therefore only judge them on the merits of what I received. Everything seems nice and fresh, the packaging is easy to open and easy to reseal, and I didn't detect any peels, grit, or other undesirable materials. All in all, I'd say if you're a chestnut fan, these seem like a good option.

Never tried before so i didnt know what the texture or condition should be. They were wet and sticky which was not pleasant. We didn't enjoy but that may be how they are supposed to feel/taste.

Thsee GreenHill Reserve Organic Roasted Chestnuts are great. If you have had chestnuts before, these are as you would expect them to be. If not, then these 'roasted' chestnuts are peeled and in a bag, so it's all at once dry and moist.The ready to eat bags help me portion control and also is a nice way for me to take my snacks! Definitely keep thisin a bag and has me not reaching for chips instead.
