Christmas is the only time of year that for some reason, I really like to do a jigsaw. I think it's the sense of everyone coming together, and a big jigsaw being something people can easily drift in and out of. We always have one going on a coffee table, if family are staying.I really couldn’t resist this as an idea, then, and have actually ordered a couple of different ones to hand out when Christmas comes around. The packaging is full colour and beautifully done, so they make excellent ‘early Christmas gifts’. I can definitely see that all the tiny boxes of jigsaws that you open individually could make the daily event quite the occasion.You get 24 small boxes inside the main box, and inside each one is a small jigsaw to complete daily, which all combine together, to make a Christmas Advent scene. You also get a good-sized full-colour print in the box with the complete jigsaw on it for reference, as well as the lid.For a my brother and sister who have younger kids, I’ll actually open the individual boxes a few days before I hand the whole thing over, and drop a couple of individually wrapped fun-size chocolate bars into each box as well, as a treat to eat whilst doing the jigsaw. Although this is a big jigsaw, the individual boxes are small enough at 42 pieces each to suit a child’s attention span, and the sense of accomplishment they'll get from seeing the bigger jigsaw slowly appear is a great lesson in getting things done in increments.The individual jigsaw pieces are seem well cut, with stable edges and a nice clear, clean print. I suspect that for many people this may come out year after year like a Christmas tradition, so you need good quality in a set like this. Each set of 42 are also printed on the back with a reference number, so that when you break it all back down, you’ll get the right pieces into the right box.In all I really love this idea, and the execution seems excellent. Can't wait to hand these out the last week of November. A definite recommendation!

I love this idea! Every year I have great intentions of doing a Christmas jigsaw puzzle and every year I start one but rarely finish it due to being so busy through December.This is the perfect way to ensure that I finish a puzzle by Christmas!Each numbered box has several jigsaw pieces inside that will create a section of the puzzle. You don’t just get random pieces that could go anywhere, so you are sure to finish a portion of the puzzle each day!The puzzle pieces themselves are numbered on the back so that’s ideal for when packing the puzzle away as you can ensure the pieces go back in the correct numbered boxes. This makes the puzzle reusable year after year or you could gift it the following year if you like to do different puzzles.The pieces look well-made and sturdy and fit well together.This would be a lovely family project to do throughout December, I know my kids will love helping me with this.If you are a hardcore puzzler and love a challenge then this may not be for you as I think it’ll be quite easy to complete, but perfect for those who have busy lives and not much spare time but still enjoy things like puzzles.The current price of £21.99 is more than I’d normally spend on a puzzle, but It will be fun to do and as I said above it can be used year after year.Would make a nice gift for a puzzle fan.

This jigsaw advent arrived in a cellophane wrapped box, which featured a colourful picture of the puzzle inside.Representing a great way of enabling younger puzzlers to complete a 1,000 piece puzzle (1,008 to be precise) the box contains 24 individual numbered boxes, as well as a poster of the image.Inside each are, loosely, packed 42 pieces. Day one creates the top left corner of the jigsaw and day 2 continues with the block to the right.The reverse of the pieces is marked with the day too, to prevent any mix ups.The quality of the pieces is good, they're nice and thick and well cut.It took me about 10 minutes to put one section together, so it's not a massive daily commitment but will create a huge sense of satisfaction on Christmas Eve when you have a completed festive jigsaw.There's no reason why you couldn't repack this into the separate sections but it would also work as a "standard" jigsaw - though the numbers on the back would make it far easier to complete from scratch.The image is charming, traditional and perfect to get all ages into the festive spirit.At £19.99, at time of review, I think it's good value and a charming way to pass the 24 days of advent

I got this fr my grandson for Christmas, he is getting to that age now where he likes to do jigsaw puzzles and is really quite good at themLove the idea of this that you open one box up each day , so that the puzzle will grow running right up to Christmas Eve when it will be complete .Inside the main box is 24 smaller boxes all with 42 pieces in , not too many per day , but enough to keep him interested .If you wanted to you could re-pack and re-gift as on the back of the pieces is the number of the box they came out from , great idea , it is also good quality and the colours of the jigsaw very good and brightIt does come with a large poster too of the finished jigsaw I suppose to help youI would recommend

The media could not be loaded. This advent calendar puzzle is such a great gift idea. It comes all in one box, but then when you open the box, there are small boxes that are each numbered that have some of the pieces to the puzzle in them. Each day you build a little bit more of the puzzle. The days have pieces that all go together so your building it as you go you’re not having to wait till you open all of them to be able to complete the puzzle. You’re completing it as you go. It makes it very manageable and easy to do. It gives my mom something to look forward to for Christmas. She can do a little bit at a time. It has 1008 pieces altogether. 24 boxes. it comes with a poster so that you can kind of watch your progress. The picture itself has lots of nice detail making it fun and interesting. It is such a great gift! I might buy one for myself. It’s a great value.

Dans ce calendrier on a un grand poster sur lequel on peut assembler notre puzzle. Dans chaque petite boite il y a un lot de pièces pour former un rectangle. Les pièces sont suffisamment épaisses et solides.Derrière chaque pièce de puzzle il y a le numéro de la boite dans laquelle il se trouvait, ainsi on peut les ranger de nouveau dans leur boite pour réutiliser. L’image est jolie et brillante.

Desde niño a muchos nos "han educado" con el clásico calendario de adviento para hacer más amena la espera al día de Navidad, 24 de diciembre, con los muchos regalos que traía. Pero este es muy original, ya que viene en forma de puzzle a realizar por partes y durante esos "24 días pre navideños" hasta lograr completar el gran día de la Navidad. Sus 1008 piezas vienen en 24 cajas de cartón y que vas abriendo a diario (42 por día). Qué gran idea para juntar a toda la familia con esta bonita labor y entretenimiento navideño. Un clarísimo "5 estrellas".

La scatola contiene un foglio con l'immagine del puzzle in formato definitivo e 24 scatolette contenenti ciascuna i pezzi da montare giorno per giorno, dal primo al 24 dicembre.Per prova, ho aperto la scatola del primo di dicembre e ho montato i pezzi che corrispondono all'angolo superiore sinistro; se avete mai fatto un puzzle non avrete alcun problema.Ho notato che sul retro di ciascun pezzo è segnato il numero della giornata, cosa utile quando a Natale si smonterà tutto e si riporranno i pezzi nelle scatolette dei singoli giorni.Insomma: un simpatico oggetto che occuperà un tavolo per l'intero mese di dicembre.
