Sorbothane vibration isolators are versatile spacers that can be used as feet, stops and protectors in many applications. The unique Sorbothane urethane is a durable, resilient, polymer that provides outstanding vibration isolation and non-skid properties. Sorbothane isolators help absorb impact and noise and have excellent resistance to aging; they will not harden or crack over time. They feature a smooth, clean, black urethane surface. Use them on any audio and electronic equipment to prevent skipping and interference. Caution: This product contains plasticizer which may cause minor discoloration to wood, plastic, composite and other materials following prolonged contact. Made in the USA Review: They are expensive but I ordered rubber washer also at a fraction of the price. I installed the rubber washers first and the performance was negligible. It did not make a difference to the office above the bathroom with the exhaust fan. I removed those and installed the Sorbothane washers, which are tacky and rather help keep themselves adhered to the surface while installing the screws and aligning the fan housing. I thought, upon power up/test, it was net better. My wife, who has the home office above the bathroom, repeatedly commented on how much better it was. I am inclined to install another set to further isolate but I don't want to change what is working. They are expensive but given the three handypersons who have attempted this beforehand, 24 bucks ain't much. Review: I’ve used sorbothane for a lot of acoustic applications over the years and it’s an amazing material. This brand does a good job packaging it for common applications. Like most things, it’s up to you to select the right package for your application, as well as determine if sorbothane is the right material for the job. Just exercise a little common sense and you’ll have a fantastic vibration damping material. To address the low scoring reviews here, compare this to a trampoline. You jump on it and the trampoline absorbs a lot of that energy, keeping it from reaching the ground. If you place the netting of the trampoline right on the ground, the energy goes straight to the ground and the trampoline through no fault of its own has failed to perform its function. If you need spacers for mounting a 20-30lb amplifier, torque fasteners into just a few of these like crazy to that point that this stuff compresses into rock hardness, they cannot and will not do any of the things you’re asking them to. Buy spacers to use as spacers, evenly distribute 10-12 of these, or use less of a more appropriate density sorbothane package, apply only enough torque to the fasteners so that they maintain some of their shape, and you’ll get great results. There’s no complex math or measuring necessary, again, just practice a little common sense. Don’t try to mount a mirror with 4 pieces of scotch tape. Don’t try to stabilize a washing machine with an unbalanced motor with a few tiny pieces. This stuff can be compressed to an impressive degree and still do a fantastic job eliminating vibrations, that’s part of what makes this material great, but generally the better it can hold the shape you purchased it in, the better it can perform. I’m in no way affiliated with IsolateIt, nor have I ever paid a dime less than whatever the desertcart price is. It’s an expensive product and where rubber, plastic, butyl, etc. are a better fit for the job, I’d use and recommend those for a lot less money. If an application can benefit from this stuff, I want to see people enjoying the same great results I have.

Smaller than you think.

I have a P1000x1bd sandwiched with these (screw, washer, sorbothane, amp, sorbothane, washer) and attached to my subwoofer box. I'm running 2 T1D412's on 1000w RMS @ 1ohm, my trunk flexes so much it is almost concerning, yet you could balance a quarter on my amp with these dampening the vibration. Ok, that's an exaggeration, but it is noticeably the only thing that stays still while the subs are hitting.

Does work well I must say.
