I got this for my son and fell in love with it myself. VR is such a cool thing to show off to folks that never tried actual VR before. This headset was even cooler than I thought it would be. We have a ps4VR and the cords are a total nightmare! But the S3 puts that VR headset to shame. The graphics and lenses are amazing. Probably better than my TV. Do not bother with the Quest 3S. By the time you buy it its like 450$ and for $50 more, you are getting alot more storage and waaaaay better lenses. So I'd get the 3 or nothing. We love not having wires and it being a standalone device that can also work with the PC if needed. I used an app similar to Google earth street view and walked around my childhood neighborhood in VR and it was simply amazing! The only drawback is the battery life. My son will play hard with gorilla tag and rec room and the battery usually last around 2 to 2.5 hours. But IMO that's more than enough. By then he should be taking a break anyways!! These are for more than gaming. My mother is in her 70s and she wants one for her bday simple for the Google street view VR app. Outstanding purchase!!

Worth every penny. I recommend getting a head strap with extra battery as the 2 hours advertised is shorter with intense gameplay (larger titles). Something I didn’t know and seemed odd — if you have glasses you will need to wear them with the headset or get the prescription lenses. I assumed that would only apply for near sightedness but it also applies for things in the game at a distance. (Really confusing as the lenses are right in front of your eyes). I mention this because if you extend the headset away from you head to fit glasses, you can see under the face shield and it sort of breaks immersion. All of that being said it was worth the $600 I spent to get everything.
