Deckprotect 16" x 16" Fire Pit Mat & Rack

This pad is perfect. Was paranoid about using it under the fire pit on my deck, but after using it the heat never came close to the decking.

Works Wonderfully.It does exactly as described. No more worries about possible damage to my deck under the fire pit.

Great product

We bought a fire pit to put in our yard and on our travertine pool deck. When we used the pit the first couple of times with no protection under it, it killed the grass and made the (expensive) travertine exceptionally hot. I didn't want to crack the tile or kill more grass.It is amazing how well this product protects the surface underneath. When the fire is lit, the mat that sits directly under the fire pit is very hot to the touch. The grate that holds the mat it is very warm. But the travertine under it is cool. The grate is lifted up off the surface by 4 small bumps you can see in the picture.I have a 31" diameter round fire pit and the 24" square mat works perfectly. I highly recommend this product.The company that manufactures it has wonderful customer service. I had a few questions and the president answered them himself within a few hours.
