I bought this for my then 3yr old boy. He is 5 now and still enjoys playing it.

Pull out the cards from the sheet. They come in four different colors. Shuffle them and place each one on a matching colored square on the game board. To move forward from the spot you have to pick a matching card from the spot you are starting from. If you pick a wrong card as in it doesn't match the picture place it back in the same spot and make sure to remember so that it will be helpful in moving forward as the game progresses.
