This product is absolutely great for being under 80 dollars. It is heavy, (a good thing) meaning that it has good quality materials and is not just plastic. It works well and the buttons are very responsive with only a second or so delay. It is very stable and video footage looks alot less bumpy. This wonderful product is perfect for someone who is a beginner that’s looking for an awesome gimbal.

As a total beginner, I wasn’t sure what to expect—but this gimbal blew me away right out of the box. Setup was simple: my phone (S24 Ultra) balanced easily, Bluetooth connected instantly, and the included remote made experimenting way more fun.The stabilization is excellent for casual video—my early tests with slow motion and object tracking turned out smoother than I expected. The companion app has a bunch of “one-click” creative modes, perfect for someone just starting out. I’ve already used it for some dorky selfies (no regrets), but I can absolutely see this being useful for future unboxing videos, haunted house scenes, restaurant reviews, and parades. The built-in tripod and selfie stick make it even more versatile.If you're new to gimbals and want something affordable, functional, and honestly kind of fun to play with—this is a fantastic place to start.

These are a great purchase and so easy to use. Great value. Built well. Functions well. Designed well. It is really stable. The software works great with Android.I had purchased one of their high end ones and I honestly prefer this one because there is no need to balance it. If time is important and you just need a gimbal for run and gun like travel blogging, this is an excellent option.Only real con is there is no mount if you wanted to add a light or microphone. Seems silly to me to even make a gimbal without a mount.

I ended up returning this particular unit because the toggle switch was a little wonky and seemed slightly defective, but I genuinely believe I just received a rare dud. Everything else about this gimbal was impressive.The 3-axis stabilization is smooth and reliable, producing buttery footage even with quick movements or walking shots. I loved the lightweight, foldable design—it’s extremely portable and easy to toss in a bag for on-the-go use. The detachable remote is a brilliant touch and made filming solo much easier.Setup was simple, pairing with my iPhone was seamless, and the hohem app gives you even more control if you want to level up your shots. The battery life is solid, and I appreciated the build quality—it feels sturdy and durable, despite being compact.While I did return my unit due to the switch issue, I absolutely plan to repurchase because it checks all the boxes for a phone gimbal. If you’re a creator, traveler, or just want more polished mobile footage, this one is worth it.

This works amazingly well for the price. I was using it to video a demonstration of a craft I was doing and I had to modify it slightly by propping it with a box because it doesn't quite move to a downward angle that I need, but it was easy enough to adapt it for what I needed. It works well with my Android phone camera and I appreciate the remote control.

I really liked the gimbal. It seemed to be a quality build, it did a great job at stabilization, and the detachable remote was very handy. Ultimately, I returned the gimbal because it was not able to consistently keep track of me no matter how slowly I moved. I tried in multiple locations, lighting, and even in open well lit environments it struggled to follow me. If you aren't interested in the tracking ability, this is a great gimbal. The hohem joy app could be better, but it does work.

I received the product opened and it was glitching and not working properly. It would go into standby suddenly while filming. Keeps vibrating and shaking in certain movements which affect the video quality. I returned it but might give it another chance hoping they would change my opinion. Zoom button only works through their app camera not the phone camera which doesn’t make sense. The app is pretty good you can edit and find some basic templates to apply on your videos. Note that i need it for professional real estate work so it might be okay for just basic family fun shooting.
