Bowers & Wilkins Pi8 Anthracite Black

I don’t leave reviews. But I had to for these. I am embedded in the Apple ecosystem and wanted something new and better. I researched a lot of earbuds. Bought the Apple air pods pro 2 and gave them to my kids twice. Bought the Sony 1000XM5 and did not feel happy. Tried the Bose QC ultra and returned them. Then tried the b&o ex and did not like them. Did a lot of research. Wanted something with warmth in the base and also able to handle the high frequencies. Bought these as I was fed up of looking at the reviews and just wanted something to enjoy the music while at work as I work in a quiet environment. These have actually blown my mind. My heads melted as to how amazing music can sound when you have the right earbuds. Gorgeous sound and so much louder than the others. The soundstage is completely open and can hear every instrument. It’s like I have Dolores alive again and singing to me personally. Thank you B&W and thank you Cranberries!!! Thank you Dolores.

This one is the best as it gets, clear and rich sound,great punchy bass. Combined with Qobus it literally makes the hair on my arms stand up

Good sound quality, but unreliable bluetooth connection. This is just one of the multiple irritating aspects of these earbuds - you also can't disable the touch controls on the earbuds, which drives me insane (they are very sensitive). Also, the navy paint flakes off the carry case, exposing the white underneath. At one year old, they look awful,

I'm now on my third set of Pi8s. The bad bits: My first pair was purchased through Amazon. After a couple of months they developed a couple of intermittent problems. Contacted B&W who, after a couple of simple troubleshooting steps authorised a return. Amazon couldn't supply my colour choice for the replacement (I suspect everyone wants the blue ones) so I purchased directly from B&W. Again, after a month or so I found a strange glitch. Back in touch with B&W. After a couple of steps they asked for them to be returned for examination, and as soon as they were collected, they sent me a brand new pair. The good bits: These earbuds sound fantastic. If, after I'd had the first issues, I'd not have been so impressed with the sound I'd have looked elsewhere. But B&W customer service is, in my experience, absolutely brilliant. Over the years I've decided that (a) you get what you pay for, and (b) you find out a lot about a company when things go wrong. The sound quality, fit and finish of these buds is brilliant. Bowers and Wilkins Customer Support is exactly what's needed with a premium product. I definitely recommend these earbuds. The loss of a star reflects the problems I've found so I couldn't give 5 stars. But B&W customer support excels. I'd have no hesitation in purchasing more B&W items
