I could have returned the lock since I couldn’t get the mechanism to work on the app. However, their service rep, Elaine, gave me some trouble shooting suggestions. Still not working. She agreed to send me another that arrived within 2 days. Lock #2 experienced the same problem. She was sure it was a faulty photoelectric problem. She said I could return one and keep the other for a regular key lock or send another one from a different Amazon location. I said 3rd time is the charm. And it was. Yay!It’s really a great looking and working lock. Simple to install and operate.But Elaine made it a great experience. She was so courteous and understanding.What started out as a frustrating experience turned into a rewarding one. Thank you!!!

This was even easier than I thought it would be. Installation and set up only took me 10-30 minutes total including downloading the app and registering. I have never replaced a lock let alone a door handle before but I’m pretty handy so I wasn’t too worried!I love that it came with a small cardboard measure to help measure the hole in your door and correlate the correct measurements for the deadbolt install. It was all pretty easy to understand. The lock has yet to give us any issues with the fingerprint, code, or key cards and the lock itself came with 3 keys! We haven’t needed to use them yet. I’d highly recommend this to anyone. The app works just fine I haven’t seen if I can add it to Google home or anything. We don’t use it often to unlock or lock the door but it is a nice option just in case. I mainly just didn’t want to have to fidget for my phone or keys to open our door and this solved it and exceeded all expectations especially for the price.

We find this lock to do its job well. While we had a challenge for a bit (a house guest accidentally took the gateway - maybe thought it was a phone charger??), customer service promptly replaced the gateway (for free!!) and followed up until we had the lock back online. Great for use to let guests, maintenance and others into the house when we are at work.

Please do not buy this lock. Cannot tell remotely if locked. Almost always shows locked when not. Press the lock key on the keypad and the app doesn't register a locking event. Using the physical key does not register a lock or unlock. So no way to be sure from the the app that the door is locked. Horrible if you are monitoring from away. Will not remember a temporary code for more than a day. Tried this many times with codes scheduled to last more than a month. Works right after programming, but the next DAY the code does not work. Deleting codes is tedious and if not done right you can never delete it. CANNOT RELY ON THIS LOCK. After being gone for a few weeks, we did a factory reset and tried it again. Same exact horrible issues. Since it's past return this is going in the trash. Bought a Schlage Encode Plus that works great.

I love the lock. I love that I can have many ways to unlock my door and my kids can get in. Also I love that it comes with Keys as well because my dad doesn’t do technology. My daughter had some trouble with her fingerprints so I have figure out what’s wrong but the app is amazing and I love that their is an automatic lock

I was having issues with a different product of it being intermittent so I found the MC lock and ordered it. Arrived in time was easy to set up and gives me a lot of different options to unlock my door. I had some trouble getting it connected to Alexa and reached out to customer service. They responded very promptly with a lot of detailed information on how to troubleshoot and work through the issue. we finally got it working and I understand how to continue fine-tuning it for my needs.

If you are happy to carry a key chain full of keys this is for you. Unfortunately two lol smiths were unable to rekey it for me.

Unit works ok, however I think the Bluetooth is keeping my lock awake. It's eating batteries like they're going out of style. (16 batteries in 2 weeks). I suspect I got a faulty unit.Update.The distributor got back to me and shipped a replacement unit, which was great. I had tossed the original packaging thinking all was good, until I needed new batteries after 48 hours and every 48 hours since. When the new unit arrives, I'll update again, with hopefully a fully functional unit and as a satisfied customer.That being said, customer service has been incredible. They were able to tell me it was the fingerprint scanner causing the lock to act up. They have been a pleasure to deal with.Another update. New unit came in and has been installed for a few days now, and battery life seems much better! The unit works great and does everything I need. Installation was simple enough and programming straightforward. I would 100% recommend this lock to others.

Before this purchasing this lock we had a Weiser that had similar functions. This lock destroys the Weiser in operation, I am very impressed. It's fast, the RF cards work great and you can purchase additional ones for cheap. The touch pad is great, far surpasses the Weiser. The only thing I can't seem to get to work is the finger print function, the reason for 4 stars. This is definitely not a deal breaker for me as the card works great.

Purchased this specifically because it was water resistant, after the first rainfall the lock is dead. Useless. Now I have $130 dead bolt. It was great when it worked though
