When I was growing up, my brother always wanted banana cake for his birthday cake. I hadn’t had any for years and decided I wanted to make one but couldn’t find the Duncan Hines mix my mother used. Then I found this - Duncan Hines changed their formula, repackaged and now sells banana cake mix under the Dolly Parton label. Cake is yummy, still Duncan Hines quality, easy to make, and price here about half the price at my local store. Will definitely buy again! I make it with salted caramel cream cheese frosting.

Yum! Tastes good, not for everybody but if you are a banana lover i would give this a try. Very easy to make and i think it's great value for the money. When i made it it didn't turn out super moist but there's an additional recipe on the back that uses banana pudding so i'll have to try that. Great work dolly!

I never expected to ever review a box cake, but here I am. I love banana and I love cake, but the problem with most pre-packaged "banana" flavor is they always end up smelling and tasting like fake banana. Not this one! This tastes exactly like I smashed real bananas into it. It's perfect; just like Miss Dolly! BLESS YOU, Dolly Parton ♥♥♥

Cake mix, works for my needs, added some Banana extract to up the taste a little.

Omg this cake is amazing. Tastes like banana pudding, just in cake form. Not too dense, fluffy and well flavored. Did not have a fake banana taste to me.

I made it for my sisters surprise 50th birthday cake, my whole family loved it. It was so delicious, so easy and quick to make with no mess (as you can see, I got a little messy with the buttercream icing that I put on and purchased seperately)

The cake turned out ok, but it wasn't as moist as I thought it would be. I won't be buying it again.
