Monet By Himself Hardcover – 7 Dec. 2000

This might seem like it's giving you a lot for your money, but many reproductions are on the faint side. I checked this with a second copy of it elsewhere. If you want a good example of printing Monet or only want one big book on him, "Monet: The Triumph of Impressionism" is a more reliable source- just make very sure you are getting the right sized edition of that one as there are several. His later light studies look especially insubstantial or anaemic with the 'thin' printing in "Monet By Himself". The earlier his pictures, the less often they seem to suffer in this book.The hardback edition is huge and definitely not for public transport... unless you intend to defend yourself with it.

There was an initial delay to receiving the book and it appears that it was not fault of the sellers as their post went missing. I received a very nice email explaining this and apology. I have received my book which looks in perfect condition. On glancing the illustrations look good quality for an artist who is very inspired by this master's work.

I have not actually read any of this book ,however browsing through I definately will be .The pictures look great.

This is a very insightful look into the life of a great painter, and I would recommend this to anyone interested in the man himself as well as his great works of art.
