Great Helmet.
Got a large and it fits just right. I ride frequently so I constantly take the helmet on and off and ride in colder weather. The top of the lining slides a little bit and the chin strap is a standard buckle strap type not click buckle, but it doesn't matter really that much to me, I wanted flat black and simplicity. Perfect.------edit:2013/After riding my motorcycle for just over a year I took my first dive wearing this helmet. I was rounding a corner going about 25mph, nothing terribly fast, i glanced to my left to make sure a pedestrian wasn't going to cross then as i looked forward a truck crossed into my lane to avoid an illegally parked car. If I had been looking ahead and was going slower it wouldn't have been a problem but...I swerved and hit the brakes simultaneously and the bike went down instantly, I was thrown to the ground with my leg under it and my head hit the pavement. What surprised me was the impact, my first thought was "that wasn't so bad, like a football hit". Im not sure how it would feel at higher speeds but the Raider Helmet definitely saved a trip to the hospital. After a moment lying on my back I realized I was ok and picked up my bike and drove to work with nothing but a broken mirror, ripped glove, bruised right calf muscle, scratched exhaust, scraped knee and slightly torn right pant leg lol.

Nice Helmet but be cautious about the size
I bought this helmet on Amazon. I used the sizing information on the company web site, and that said I should order a medium. So I ordered a medium using the pull down menu on Amazon. The product description says Large, but I assumed that you could order other sizes since that option is given. I was sent a large, which turned out to fit just fine, so I lucked out. I've never had a half helmet before, and it feels snug, which it should for crash protection.I like the helmet, it's comfortable and looks good. I can't use the visor since it won't fit in my under seat storage bin (the whole reason I bought a half helmet). The 4 stars is for the product itself. The sizing information is confusing at best. Raider should fix the listing to accurately reflect what they are selling. My guess is that they ship you a large no matter what the pull down says.

Solid for warm weather
I bought this helmet about two years ago and have used it dozens of times. It is well made and handled a number of drops without significant damage. If you are riding in warmer weather (like I do down here in South Florida) the open ear design of a half helmet like this one is much cooler than a full helmet. In the winter time, the zip on ear covers are very nice to have when the temperature drops. A 3 snap flip up face shield like this one: http://www.amazon.com/Raptor-3-Snap-Flip-Shield-Clear/dp/B007M7ZUMC/ref=sr_1_5?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1372084998&sr=1-5&keywords=3+snap+flip+shield adds protection to the eyes and face without compromising the air flow. Little vents built into the helmet offer a bit more air flow inside the helmet at higher speeds.Aside from the cosmetic issues (see posts on mushroom look), at higher speeds, air tends to get under the helmet and want to lift it off your head. This is exacerbated by a shield, and you have to avoid looking up and keep the front part of the helmet down to avoid it flying up at freeway speeds. But overall, a nice solid helmet if you are looking for a cooler half helmet design with a zippered ear cover.

Very happy, especially for the price!
One of the things I was pleasantly surprised by is just how light this helmet actually is! Also, it gets great air-flow both because of its size, and the 2 airflow intakes just above the visor. I also attached a G9 Communication system to it, and the ear covers actually have a velcro pouch which were the perfect size for the speakers to be inserted. If I had to list a con, it would probably be that the air intake holes have sliding covers, and those covers slide too easily accidentally closing sometimes (this is very easily fixed however). Also, if you're going to get a face-shield I highly recommend reading the reviews on each before purchasing. Many of the cheap ones leak badly if you happen to get stuck in the rain, but that's a different review on a different product. All in all, very very satisfied - especially for the price!

Heavy, but Great
This is really a motorcycle helmet, but I bought this for downhill skateboarding because longboard helmets without DOT certification cost about the same, if not more. So I decided to go for it, and I don't regret my purchase. It's heavy- the first time I wore it riding my neck was decently sore afterwards- but it's got great, comfortable padding, quality straps, and a cool visor which can be removed if you don't like the look. Obviously I can't speak to its quality for motorcycle riding because I have no experience, but I would suggest this to any longboarders considering it for its certification and fair price. It's a quality product made with obvious care and attention to detail, and I would certainly buy it again.

Quality Helmet
I wear this helmet. I have only ever worn full helmets in the past.Key points:The neck/rear lining is very nice and zips off.The visor handles any wind-speed I have attained without coming loose. (Like 90mph)The styling is not an issue for me.Negative points:This helmet is domed. Being smoothly rounded it must accommodate for the width of the ears. Some helmets have the ear area built out as separate strata. Without glasses and a riding jacket the helmet looks out of proportion. I always wear glasses and a riding jacket so they balance out. This helmet's foam portion will adjust to your head after regular use, which is good; however it was uncomfortable for the first dozen or so wears.Overall a good purchase. But potentially a stylistic issue for the vain or the small of frame. A more "military" looking half-helmet may suit them better.
