I have had my fair share of earbuds before buying the NC9 earbuds. My friend suggested to me the company "TOZO" and specifically the "NC9" version. I trusted him and bought them, and to my surprise, they exceeded my expectations. I have been using them for more than a week now and thought that now I am able to give my full review on them.Sound Quality - The sound quality on those is by far one of the best from the ones have I have tried in the past. They deliver a good equilibrium between both the audio and the bass when listening to music, I am also a fan of using the NC9 whilst on a call. The audio of the other person speaking just sounds better with the outside world not interfering like using your phone speakers (due to the ANC feature included).Build Quality - The way that the TOZO NC9 earbuds are made in is very clean. The earbud case is shaped in a way where it fits in the pockets easily and never gave me trouble using it whatsoever. the earbuds themselves are very snuggly when fitting inside the ear, also the magnets that attach the earbuds to the case are pretty neat, they just snap very easily and you don't have to worry about them being in the case and not charging. Speaking of magnets, the case opens and closes a bit differently than the Airpods, they have this mechanism where you have to hold them up and they will stay, kind of like a door and not a switch, but still the build quality is amazing on them and I am very satisfied.Pairing & Battery Life - I realized that pairing these earbuds are extremely easy, you just scan for Bluetooth devices and make sure that they are not connected to anything, then they will show up, click on them and they will pair just like so. Also the battery life is amazing. I use them for 3 continuous hours and switching through the modes with no battery problems whatsoever, and of course just around 30 minutes is all it takes to fully charge the earbuds from the case. I never faced any problems with the battery or pairing.Earbud Modes:Whilst using the NC9 earbuds, I have realized that I has three complete modes and each one has its own setting and a perfect time to when to use.Active Noise Cancellation(ANC) - The active noise cancellation is incredible. I usually go on the bus to head over to University, so turning on ANC helps me by cancelling out the engine noise, some people talking next to me, and of course, any ambient noises. This helps me out a lot since I would love to listen to music without being interrupted by an outside conversation or just the sound of vehicles. Even if you aren't a fan of ANC, you can just tap your left earbud and it will turn off ANC mode. Overall, an amazing mode for people who are trying to listen to a call in a crowded area or just a noisy place like in public transportation.Transparency Mode - The transparency mode is extremely useful to me in its own situations. I usually love to turn this mode on when I am relaxing at my home, the music is loud enough to just cut off the audio from the outside of my room and it also helps incase someone in the house called for me to come. I can still hear people from the outside, just that now, it is much more easier and I don't see a need to take them off whenever I need to understand what someone is trying to say to me. Overall, very useful in its own situations and when you do not mind the noises from outside.Final Review:In my opinion, these earbuds are fantastic for someone who has a 50$ budget and is looking to get into the world of "Noise Cancelling Earbuds" out there. The sound quality is high enough to compete with top brands, the build quality is fantastic, and the earbud modes are done pretty well. I give them a 5/5 since I see no flaws with them and would recommend anyone who is interested to give them a try.

I do lawn care, I only had my new buds a few days and really like them, after having my music turned down for an hour or so I turned them up and no sound from my right side, hmm what is the problem, I look at my connection and it's good, says it's playing, then reach for my ear, omg I lost the left bud! I lost it outside working in an overgrown area , I didn't think Id ever find it because I wasn't sure exactly where I lost it, it could be anywhere within a large grown up area, but I saw it was connected, so in searching google for a Bluetooth scanner to track it, I find a link that says these toyo buds have a find my bud feature built in, it worked I found it! It was down in some out of control liriope plants, I'd never have found it! It emits a high pitched beeping which sound that was easy to hear, I heard it about 40 foot away. Yay!I was motivated to write this review after I found my lost bud using the built in feature, but I also was impressed with the sound, some reviews say they sound tinny, they really did at first,(uh oh) but then I found that after adjusting the eq there's plenty enough bass for all but the most die hard thumpers. I don't like too much artificial bass like some buds and speakers have, these aren't like that, they sound great to me, more realistic and not so enhanced, hard to explain.. I hear sounds that I never noticed before, even on music I've listened to every note thousands of times, usually high pitched background effects, like glass breaking, they do accel on the high end, but you can cut it back with the eq if you like. I love the EQ in the app, it works better than most virtual eq's that I've used and it's quick and easy to save your settings. They connect very quickly.I love the noise canceling, I never owned any noise canceling earphones so I can't compare, but I never expected it to work this well, it really does cancel the outside sound, turn it off and hear everything around you, turn it on and the sound goes away. The first time I tried it was like I was turning off the window ac, with them on it was silent, couldn't hear it at all, turned off or adjusted I could. I find adjusting the level according to the sound you want gone works best. It doesn't seem like a level to me, it's more like tuning the sound out. I find it works best to adjust the slider slowly one notch at a time and give it time to sample the noise, only a second or two. That said it doesn't cut off the noise from my mower, but with my muffs they work great, they get that last bit of sound that gets through and makes peaceful silence. You can sometimes hear a delay of a few microseconds, that's the noise canceling sampling the sound and sending it to your ears 180 degrees out of phase, which cancels. Amazing technology. Beware of some who claim noise canceling but are not, they are only passive noise canceling, not like these which are active noise canceling.The only negative so far is the charging time, it says they take an hour, but for me they take several hours. This being plugged into my laptop, it may be faster with a wall charger, but I'm not sure. They last me all day, so it's not a big issue. For the price you can't go wrong with these. I'm not sure much more expensive ones would be any better.

The first set of these I received had a rough spot on the left bud, but the bigger issue was that it disconnected A LOT. I installed the app and updated firmware. That didn't help. Before just sending them back to Amazon, I reached out to Tozo. Points to them, they are very responsive and sent a replacement pretty quickly. The replacement unit initially had a disconnect right away, however after updating the firmware and using them, the 2nd set has been much more reliable. I've had only 1 other complete disconnect in the middle of a conversation. I have seen one earbud disconnect/get out of sync briefly a couple times, but it didn't interrupt the call. I did have the left bud freak completely out while I was listening to a video and make LOUD NOISES. Putting it back in the case fixed it.Audio quality is good, including for calls, and the ANC is really impressive. The app offers lots of customization. These are a good value, the fit works fine for both me (40 something man) and my teenage daughter. Battery life has been great. For the pricepoint they have everything I need save 1 feature. Mute control from the buds themselves does not exist. Had I realized this I might not have ordered them. If that's not an issue for you, these are a pretty good choice.
