The DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro has quickly become my favorite action camera. for a content creator, this is a quick way to get quick video with loosing quility or buying a second mirrorless camera— the image quality is crisp, vibrant, and handles low light far better than other action cams I’ve used. Shooting in 4K at 120fps is buttery smooth and perfect for capturing sports, travel, and cinematic slow motion. The stabilization is outstanding. Even when running, biking, or filming on uneven terrain, the footage looks steady and professional. Subject tracking works great too, keeping me in frame without constantly adjusting. I also love the dual OLED touchscreens. It makes switching between front and back views super easy, especially for vlogging. The interface is intuitive, and I was recording within minutes of unboxing. Another huge plus — it’s waterproof right out of the box, so no need for an extra case when filming underwater or in the rain. The compact design makes it easy to carry anywhere, yet it feels sturdy and durable.

I actually got the camera!!!! I thought that the parcel was lost but it was actually found. Camera works great and everything else turned out better than i thought, Camera records clear and supports bluetooth to phone image/video sharing

I've been using the original DJI Osmo Action since 2019, and it's been such a reliable camera that I hadn't felt the need to upgrade. However, the Osmo Action 5 Pro release finally convinced me, and I'm glad it did. The most immediately noticeable difference is the jump in image quality. The new sensor captures remarkable detail, and the 4K video at 120fps is incredibly smooth. The improved low-light performance is a huge benefit, primarily since I often shoot in less-than-ideal lighting. The color rendition is also more accurate and vibrant, and the wider dynamic range is a definite plus. The option for 4:3 capture provides greater flexibility in post-production, which I appreciate. RockSteady 3.0 is a significant step up from the stabilization of the original Osmo Action. It effectively eliminates even the most jarring movements, resulting in incredibly smooth and professional-looking footage. The dual touchscreens are a fantastic addition, making framing and adjusting settings much easier, especially when self-recording. The build quality remains robust, just like my original Osmo Action. I've used it in various conditions, including white water rafting and kayaking, and it's held up perfectly. The battery life is also a noticeable improvement, addressing one of my few complaints about the first generation. The DJI Mimo app is functional, but there's still room for improvement in user experience and feature set.

Fantastic camera! Battery life is amazing and charging is very rapid. Picture quality is great and sound with a wirelessly connected mic also great.

Bought handle and underwater case separately for snorkeling in the Caribbean and got excellent footage. Had to purchase a micro SD card separately.

Right out of the box, the camera feels solid and well-built, and I love that it’s fully waterproof without needing a case. The dual OLED touchscreens make framing shots and checking playback super easy, and the 1/1.3" sensor captures crisp, vibrant 4K video at 120fps that makes everything—from hiking to biking—look cinematic. Setting up subject tracking and stabilization is straightforward, and it actually keeps up with fast-moving action without feeling jittery or shaky. After using it on a few trips, I can confidently say this camera has elevated my content. The footage is smooth, colors pop, and even low-light shots come out clear. I love that it’s compact enough to carry everywhere, yet versatile enough for vlogging, sports, or casual filming. Whether I’m recording adventures or capturing everyday moments, it’s reliable, easy to use, and makes everything look professional. I’ll definitely be keeping this as my go-to action camera—it’s that good.

I regret buying this DJI Osmo 5 Pro camera. I have used DJI drones for years, and generally had good things to say about DJI- and their customer support. When it was time to use this camera I discovered one has to also purchase a specific brand of smart phone in order to activate the camera. If one doesn't do this, the camera will not work! DJI's application, Mimo, isn't approved by Google to be provided through the Play Store. Google's privacy standards are not being met by DJI- and there may be other issues too. Further, the camera requires firmware updates- which is essentially DJI saying they released a product with software that wasn't up to standards. To get all this done I hired a computer geek who wanted at least $80 dollars to jump through all the hoops. In the end, I will never have DJI's app on my phone. I don't want a corporation out of communist China to have access to any of my data. So, the whole process is frustrating, invasive, and expensive. DJI will not get what it wants from me- my data, because the application will not be on my phone- and was deleted by the computer geek from the device he used to secure the activation. DJI has lost any good will I formerly had for this corporation. If the seller had done a better job explaining all this, I never, ever, would have considered buying this product. It is incredibly aggravating, and expensive. I would have returned this product- but had already spent hours ordering the various accessories needed to make it work. Even now, I wish I had returned it. After all this aggravation I have no idea if this camera will even work- or do a decent job as the computer geek trying to activate it needs days before he can get the work completed. At this point I detest DJI.
