Good little starter set
First off, I have no idea what I'm doing with this stuff, but I have so many seedlings in the yard, that I figured it would be better than just ripping the out. So, instead, I'm putting cedars and maples into small plastic pots and playing around with them. So, keep that in mind. These are all really low gauge wires. Even the thickest struggles to keep the shape of a branch that's less than 1/4" in diameter. Doubling up does help. Otherwise, yeah, it's working fine. I do think I'll need some thicker wire, but that is certainly not because of any defects in this product. The wire cutters work fine on all the wires. They also work fine for some trimming, which is not what they're for. I would post photos, but I don't want my bizarre work to reflect on the quality of the product. I mean, I have to hide my disaster project trees to keep my wife from throwing them away.Summary: The product is good. I'm just really bad at this hobby.

Great set for a beginner
This is a great starter set for bonsai beginners. If you look at starter sets of wire on bonsai sets, this is exactly what you get except no wire cutters. The cutters are a perfectly normal size, by the way, if you are a regular sized human. 1.0 and 1.5 are very light wires, yes, but if you are wiring small bonsai, shohin and mame, you will use them. I use 1.0 primarily just to direct new growth that is not pointing where I want it. I use 1.5 pretty frequently, Get yourself an assortment of sizes, learn how to use it (check out Eastern Leaf) and this pack is just fine.

So Far So Good
The cutter handles have a textured rubber padding that makes them comfortable and slip resistant to use. Just started using this product so I do not know how easy the wires and cutter will be yet when I need to remove the wires from the bonzai tree. The only recommendation I have is that the coils of wire should be labelled for easy reference and for future use. But as of now, I am very happy with the cutters and the wire I have used.

Great for the value
The wire did exactly what it was suppose to do. I was able to manipulate my bonsai trees as I wanted to with no problem. The wire is pliable yet able to hold the bonsai tree in proper position. The wire cutters work just fine. I had no problems cutting the wires. Highly recommend if your just starting out.

Great product for a beginner
I wired a couple of Ficus trees with this kit last fall and here, in the spring, the trees are still alive and the branches seem to be trained like I wanted them. There was plenty of wire left over, too. I doubt I'll ever have to buy any again unless I open a Bonsai nursery... which ain't happening.

Ideal for Tillandsia (air plant) holders
This is the first time I ordered bonsai wire and I'm glad I did. I had been stripping insulation off of some copper wire I had laying around, which was a pain in the rear. This wire seems to be aluminium of various colors and a wide range of thicknesses. The colors don't seem to be part of a sizing scheme, rather, they seem to be so you can pick the color that might be the most camouflaged. There was no documentation with the order.
