I saw this on sale and had to pick one up. First it is much smaller than I expected, which is perfect. It is decently bright for its size when using the white light, which is a very comfortable warm white. A press/hold lets you ramp the brightness up and down. You also have quick access to red, flashing red and then whatever the last 4 fun colored patterns you've used just by pressing down. This isn't going to light up your room, but as a nice accent light or night light it is just perfect. You also have access to several other patterns, the ability to have it react to music (must have the phone app open and connected), a timer and a whack-a-mole game. You can connect several of these in the app. Just a ton of functionality for such a low price. The battery life is pretty good as well. At the lowest brightness it is saying I should get about 40 hours, at the brightest about 4. My only wish is that it had a light pattern that replicated a flickering candle flame.

The other lamp, however, has been functioning flawlessly for weeks, so I’m inclined to believe it was an isolated defect. Final Thoughts This night light is innovative, versatile, and visually appealing. It offers fantastic value for its features and is a great addition to any room, especially for kids or festive settings. However, the quality control issue with one of the lamps was disappointing, which is why I’m giving this product 4 stars instead of 5.
