Failed to Work Properly - Intermittent Crashes
Bought this to power keyboard, mouse and mouse pad via monitor. Works for a bit then crashes the computer. Only way to clear is to fully power down and restart. I don't mind spending the money on a product that is good quality, but changed for a different brand 10m cable which works perfectly and is ironically cheaper. Pros: - 10m long Cons: - Thicker sections every 2m (active components), can make cable hard to route through trunking - Not up to the job to maintaining connection - Expensive

There are times where I need to use my laptop in very cramped spaces and still have access to my external drive. In the past, I've tried lots of solutions but this cable works perfectly for me. I was able to use my MacBook Pro running on the battery and have only the 10m extension cable attached. I had great transfer speeds between the system and the external USB 3.0 RAID array. Build quality is very good overall. The cable is thicker than the old USB 2.0 standard since it has 9 conductors inside rather than the 4 wires used for the older specs. The cost is higher than other cables because of the active electronics inside the cable. It's actually $10 cheaper than an active USB 2.0 cable I bought years ago, so it seems like a pretty fair price when you take inflation into consideration. The extra speed is a bonus for certain. Be aware that this cable can only be used on USB 3.0 devices. Since the"B" end of the cable has an extra section, itwill only work in a USB 3.0 "B" socket. The "A" side that plugs into your computer will work with any USB standard, but will only give you the speed of the USB standard you're connecting to. In other words, you'll get maximum speed in a USB 3.0 or higher port on your computer. Although I don't need to use this cable on a daily basis, it has a permanent home in my laptop bag.

Very high quality cable. Purchased for Astro imaging. Works great with my ASI ZWO usb 3 cameras and Pegasus Astro hub.

This cable successfully connect to my UFX+ audio interface at USB 3 (5 MB/s) speed. I had tried an optical cable and a not active USB cable, reaching only USB 2 speeds. It is an expensive solution, but not as expensive as fibre optical cable.
