A Trackball That Solved My Wrist & Shoulder Pain — and Changed How I Use a Mouse
Nick’s Take (The short story)This was my first trackball mouse, purchased to help resolve wrist and shoulder strain — and it genuinely delivered. After 10 months of daily use, I now prefer it over a traditional mouse. Comfortable, precise, thoughtfully designed, and worth the price if ergonomics matter to you.1. Context & Use CaseThis is my first-ever trackball mouse. I purchased it specifically to address wrist and shoulder discomfort that developed from long hours at my desk.At the time, I was using a Microsoft Sculpt keyboard, and now a Kinesis MWave, both aimed at improving ergonomics. The MX Ergo S became the missing piece of that puzzle.I intentionally gave myself 10 months of daily use before writing this review to fully adapt and honestly evaluate whether it made a long-term difference — and I’m happy to say it absolutely did.2. Learning Curve & TransitionThere is a learning curve, primarily in retraining your thumb to handle cursor movement. For the first few days, things felt awkward. After a couple of weeks, it started to feel natural. Now, I genuinely prefer the trackball experience over a standard mouse.Once muscle memory sets in, the precision and comfort become second nature.3. Ergonomics & ComfortThis is where the mouse truly shines. The angled design fits comfortably into the palm, keeps the wrist in a neutral position, and significantly reduces shoulder movement since the mouse itself remains stationary. After extended use, I noticed:Reduced wrist fatigueLess shoulder tensionMore relaxed overall postureFor anyone dealing with repetitive strain, wrist pain, or shoulder discomfort, this can be a game changer.4. Build Quality & FeaturesThe build quality feels premium and solid.Highlights:USB-C rechargeable (a feature I didn’t know I needed, but now greatly appreciate)Bluetooth connectivity — extremely helpful for workplaces that restrict USB donglesSmooth, responsive trackingButtons are well placed and easy to reachI purchased this alongside an MX Anywhere S for travel, and quickly realized how much I valued the wireless charging and Bluetooth flexibility across both devices.5. Cleaning & MaintenanceCleaning is refreshingly simple. The bottom plate pops off, allowing you to gently push the ball out (a pen cap or pencil eraser works perfectly). A quick wipe of the internal sensors and ball keeps tracking smooth and consistent. It takes under a minute and makes a noticeable difference.6. Who This Is ForIdeal for:Desk workersProgrammersDesignersAnyone dealing with wrist, forearm, or shoulder strainUsers seeking ergonomic improvementsLess ideal for:People who frequently move their mouse long distances across a deskGamers who rely heavily on rapid, sweeping movements7. Value & Price PerspectiveAt around $100, this is not a casual purchase — but for ergonomics, it feels justified. If this reduces pain, strain, or fatigue during daily work, the value becomes very clear. For me, the comfort improvement alone justified the price.8. Final RatingFive stars.Even at its premium price, this mouse has delivered meaningful comfort improvements, excellent usability, and long-term reliability. It solved the problem I bought it for — and that’s ultimately the highest bar a product can meet.

Quality Mouse & Saves my Wrist
Bought this to replace one of the older models of the same trackball I misplaced. I was initially sad to see the price increased on this model from the one I purchased a few years ago, but I can tell the quality has improved so I'm happy with the cost knowing now quality improvements were made. In my experience, this specific trackball is durable and my last one lasted me over 2 years with heavy use; it stills works, was just misplaced.Overall, I love this mouse. The tilt on it is so nice for my hand and my wrists. I work in IT but also do digital artwork and graphic design as a secondary job so I'm constantly using my wrists with typing, using a mouse, and drawing. I take extra care of my wrists as I've had symptoms of carpal-tunnel flare up over the years and this mouse has been very helpful in ensuring I'm not hurting my wrists. I noticed my hand would start cramping with my regular, non-trackball mouse and my wrists would start to get sore.I'm not sure how I feel about the material yet as it seems to have this type layer with silicone feel. This silicone layer/coating does attract dust (you can see my product photos after only 1 day's use where dust is building up on the bottom). In my experience, these coatings wear over time, revealing shiny plastic underneath but I want to give this mouse a fair chance before assuming it's going to have issues with the coating.Did not come with a USB-C cable for charging but I'm OK with that if it means keeping costs down and I have tons of spare USB-C cables anyway. My only gripe is I wish they would include a slot or hidden compartment like some of their other mouses to place the wireless USB dongle so it doesn't get lost when not connected to a computer and not being used.I'll update this review if I find anything worth noting.

Great product.
So comfortable, adjustable slant, very easy on the wrist, programmable, Logitech website explains it very well. Over many years, I have always been very satisfied with Logitech products. I look for this brand specifically on keyboards and mice. Very well made, Durable.

All in all, good product.
I prefer using a trackball over a regular mouse. This one is great and is able to quickly and easily adjust from fast movement to a slower more controlled for finer movements like need in CAD. Looks great and works fine. My only complaint is after a few months of use, under the ball can get quite dusty and make the ball rattle. I have tried cleaning it, but still has some rattling that can be a little annoying. Other than that, it works well and is a good product.

What are you waiting for? This is the trackball mouse you're gonna love!
Why did I wait so long to go with the perfect trackball?Features I didn't even realize I would love!:- cordless! It charges very quickly, and lasts more than a week on one charge.- it feels solid! Two positions with a rubber grip bottom makes sure it doesn't slide around your desk or bed or wherever your pc is set up.- the bottom is magnetized, so it pulls right off to quickly access the track ball for easy cleaning!- since it is cordless, so easy to use it in all kinds of environments, and unlike a regular mouse that requires space to use, you need only the space that this sits in, to use. I use this on my counter while I'm cooking to change YouTube videos or Netflix movies playing on the side screen, and it has a great cordless range to the device.- it has the potential to hook up to several devices, so it's a quick push of a button to select the device, and of you go, rolling the ball and controlling the interface. My setup is a wide screen monitor hooked up to 3 different computers, I have a cordless Dygma Raise 2 keyboard that can connect to any of these PCs, along with this mouse that can also connect to any of the 3 PCs, so I have one keyboard and one mouse controlling everything on my desk. It affords the ability to have a clean looking setup, and I can't say enough how easy it was to learn how to switch between systems, and how easy it was to adapt to using a track ball mouse over decades of using a standard mouse. It's solid, easy to use, easy to clean, easy to charge, a real quality mouse that I'll have for years!

This Trackball Saved My Wrist and Changed How I Work at My Desk
This Logitech MX Ergo S trackball is ergonomically designed with an adjustable angle and I am not going to lie, it eliminated my wrist pain within days of switching. No more moving my whole arm around to use the mouse. Just thumb control of the trackball while my hand stays in a natural position. The adjustable tilt lets you customize the angle from flat to 20 degrees. I use it at the higher angle which keeps my wrist in a neutral position. The difference in comfort compared to a traditional mouse is dramatic. My forearm is no longer pronated all day long.Precision tracking is excellent. The trackball is responsive and accurate for everything from detailed design work to general navigation. The sensor quality is what you expect from Logitech MX series. Professional grade performance in an ergonomic form factor.USB C rechargeable battery lasts for months on a single charge. No more swapping AA batteries or dealing with wired connections. Quick charge capability means even if it dies, fifteen minutes gets you back to work. The programmable buttons through Logitech Options software add serious productivity. Customize each button for your workflow. Forward back buttons, precision mode toggle, gesture button. Make this trackball work exactly how you need it to.For anyone dealing with wrist strain from traditional mice or just wanting a more ergonomic setup, this trackball delivers. Logitech engineering expertise applied to ergonomic mouse design. Your wrists will thank you.

Best trackball mouse out there. No more sore wrists!
Best trackball mouse I've ever used. I especially like the ability to switch between multiple PCs conveniently. I used to get carpel tunnel really bad when using a traditional mouse. Since switching to the Logitech MX Ergo S, no more sore wrists! Cleaning the internal contact points is super easy and restores smooth operation in seconds. Button clicks have a premium feel with low noise and relatively short travel. The metal baseplate ensures it stays put and grips the desktop surface so you can enjoy hours of use without it sliding all over the place. Highly recommend and will buy again if this thing ever wears out.

I'm very picky, and been looking for years to find a replacement for my collection. GET THIS!
The only con I'll put for this mouse is it's lack of usb-c cord to come with the product. Every other mouse i've tried recently came with its own usb-c cord, but I've also invested in high quality usb-c cords anyways so it doesn't really affect me. Just something I noticed.Otherwise, this is the first Thumb-Ball mouse I've tried in nearly 2 decades that just FEELS nice in the first 10minutes of use.DPI mode button could be in a better spot (sort of have to shift down to press it), but otherwise nice addition.Good weight to the mouse as a whole. Feels hefty and high quality. All of the buttons feel nice and feel properly placed. A few recent mice i've tried had their MB3 and MB4 buttons (the front-top buttons) too far back. These feels pretty well placed.I'm not so sure about the "hole" placement on the bottom for removing the ball to clean it....other immitators also put a hole in the bottom-mount to help with removing the ball.Overall, first impressions is it's a solid replacement for my collection of $40 wireless mice.I REALLY appreciate the ability to run this mouse in corded-powered mode so I don't have to worry about buying rechargeable batteries anymore. Although, I do worry about needing to eventually replace the internal battery when it inevitably dies. I wonder what kind of battery it uses and how hard it would be to replace?I'll update this review in a month or two once i've had time to use it properly.

Works well
I really like this trackball mouse. It works well and is comfortable to use for a long time. My only complaints are that I keep hitting the button beside the ball that changes the mouse speed (but it's also really handy at times) and worse, the button under the scroll wheel that switches modes from Bluetooth to USB wireless. Also that there's no where to stash the USB dongle thingy. I'm pretty sure I've lost it already.
