I purchased Vie Spray-On Mosquito And Insect Repellent for a holiday abroad with my family. What appealed to me most was the fact that the formula was suitable for use with children. I also brought the wet wipe version, which I have left comment on as well - for flexibility! I was very impressed that I was able to have just one bottle for the whole family, and that the Vie products meet my chemical free ethics. Most mosquito repellant items contain nasty chemicals and frankly I don’t want those on the skin of my young children. The Vie product utilises more natural approaches to repelling insects and is DEET free which really is an important consideration. DEET is a very common ingredient in many insect repellants and the side effects can be quite nasty - it frankly isn't something I would have near my children - or myself for that matter.The Vie Spray-On Mosquito And Insect Repellent doesn't smell unpleasant, no insect repellent I have every come across can be described as lovely smelling, but this is certainly not offensive, you can smell the citrus, which makes it quite fresh smelling.Being bitten by mosquitos and other nasty biting insects is really miserable and it can ruin holidays, so I was really keen to avoid that fate for anyone in the family. It worked really well, and we managed a holiday where no one got bitten to pieces, it sprays on well, and seemed to cope well with pool side splashing about. Remembering to reapply is key if you are going to spend a lot of time in and out of the water, but that is just common sense and the same with any product.Overall I was more than impressed with the Vie Spray-On Mosquito And Insect Repellent, I was able to avoid chemicals and avoid my children (and the adults in the party) being eaten alive. I shall be hanging onto this and making sure there is always some in the cupboard just incase we need it.

I bought this for a recent family trip as we needed something for our young niece (she's 3) who was accompanying us. She and my sister in law used it every day and reported zero problems and zero insect bites. I noticed from my own inspections that it smells good too and not too tangy like the adult equivalent which I suppose is part of the point. It actually smells quite citrusy to the nose which I find appealing - so I tried it myself towards the end of the trip and it works just as well as my own repellents.It's a nicely sized bottle and can fit inside a handbag or backpack perfectly well and is easy to apply too - making it a great all round product.I haven't tried any other baby-safe insect repellents but won't need to as this did the job perfectly!

Purchased as my son has severe eczema and was worried the more potent brands might sting and flare him up.Luckily his skin was in good condition on holiday and this spray didn’t seem toBother him at all so I would say that’s a good result!

:Summers are fun and I really look forward to the warm weather but for me when the sun comes out, I seem to attract all types of biting insects. Having tried this product I am absolutely delighted to say that the little blighters steered clear of me. It has a ver pleasant smell and no nasty ingredients. I now play golf, badly I might add, without the fear of hitting the ball in the long grass and disturbing the little devils and becoming their lunch. This product seems to work okay, we haven't been bitten by any insects while we were on holiday. It's safe for babies and toddlers because it's deet free.I didn't feel that the product was very well packaged. It arrived loose, not in a small cardboard carton like most baby/toddler products, and it didn't have a security seal on the plastic bottle either so I just had to trust it hadn't been opened already. The label is just a basic paper label, so if it gets wet it rubs off and looks tatty.It's okay, but I'll be looking for a different brand next time. 3 stars.

I was worried about purchasing this as my son has really bad eczema and I was worried it either wouldn't be strong enough to deter the Mossi or would flare up his eczema but honestly I was so so pleased and glad I got this! So gentle on my son's skin (he has extreme eczema too) didn't flare him up at all and he didn't get bit all holiday unlike us so we started using this instead and never got bit too. Really recommend!
