This lock is NOT designed for keeping valuables secure. But is is fine for "escape room/box" activities. Just instruct the players NOT to use force as it can be easily broken. However the real reason I am writing this is because the re-setting instructions included with the lock are confusing. It is actually fairly simple - there is a black button on the bottom of the lock. When you line up the three 0s (the combination that it comes with) and press the button with the end of something like a knitting needle the numbers will become loose. Keep pressing the button and rotate the three numbers to whatever you desire. When you release the button, the numbers in the line become your new combination. As far as I can tell you can do this repeatedly. The hardest part is continuing to depress the button (which requires something small and pointy) while rotating the numbers. Once you jump this hurdle, you are home free. If you are looking for locks for valuable items you should probably look further. However for escape room activities where you need a lot of locks and your budget is not large (AND your players will not cheat) these are probably just fine.

First, the locks that were received were not a vast assortment like shown in the picture. I received mostly black and silver and then one each of red, blue, green and teal. I ordered these for an escape room activity for my classroom. I had just enough colors to be able to set up the activity. The locks are easy to set to a new combination. There is a mark on the lock to show you which side you should use to set the combination (there is an indented line you use to line up the numbers). One of the locks was broken after the first use (of course it was one of the few colored ones I received). I would not get these again, but I will keep using them until they all break!

I purchased the locks to create a puzzle game. The combinations were easy to set and reset. No complaints here.

As the saying goes, you get what you pay for. These are extremely tiny, can easily be broken through with minimal strength and the numbers are visible from both sides of the locks, with no indication of which side is the front. I bought these to use for an "escape room" type game for my kids and they will work for this year, but I wish I had found something nicer.

The locks are extremely easy to set and they are solid and sturdy. I used them for an escape room activity in my classroom. My students loved having to actually open locks via combination.

I purchased these locks for a simple break in bag project that I hoped to use over multiple events but they just keep costing me more money because even when the combination is set at the right numbers it's hit or miss if they will open. I have 13 of these that I can no longer use because they will not open using any of the combinations I programmed them for.

Most of the locks would not unlock with preset combination. Threw them away and bought locks at the hardware store.

These were impossible to use. After finally figuring out how to set the combination, it didn’t work to unlock them. Bought for a team building and they ended up being worthless.
